Cinema Paradiso (Review/Reseña)

In a small Italian village there is a boy named Salvatore, full of energy and intelligence he uses it only for what he loves, the cinema, considering magical what is shown on a big wall the moving images, in the only cinema of the village the Cinema Paradiso, he learns about cinema while he becomes friends with the projectionist.

En un pequeño pueblo italiano se encuentra un niño llamado Salvatore, lleno de energía e inteligencia la utiliza solo para lo que ama, el cine, considerando mágico lo que se muestra en una gran pared las imágenes en movimiento, en el único cine del pueblo el cinema paradiso, aprende sobre cine mientras se hace amigo del proyectista.

I really didn't expect something great when I saw Cinema Paradiso, I just wanted to see something different, from another country, in another language, something that would show me the way they make movies in another part of the world, I came across what is now my favorite movie Without a doubt, there is no other story that has made me feel like this one, so many heartfelt emotions that it is impossible to classify it as a bad or mediocre film, much less with all the prizes won, for this reason, Cinema Paradiso is a great movie.

The story, in a few words, is simple, it is not something that takes too many twists or turns, it is more of a romantic story of a boy and an old man, how they become friends until they almost become father and son. The simplicity of its history makes it something easy to digest, being tender and sweet, not tasteless and without colors in between. A romance occurs at one point in the film, it's like a break from the relationship between the projector and the child, creating different points of view in the story making it entertaining.

What captivated me about Cinema Paradiso was the child's lifestyle and how Alphonso wanted a better future for him while supporting him in what he liked, the movies that he forbade them to see due to lack of money. The support between the two is something tender and hopeful, it makes us feel empathy for the characters for their actions that makes them see gentlemen disguised as villagers, it is a story that makes me see how the life of an individual can change with the support of words.

I expected to see a movie that was about movies in general, but I found a brotherly love story that makes me emotional and cry at the same time, seeing how until the end, a hug from a stranger who works in a place that calls you attention, can change your life. Cinema Paradiso made me cry to no more, for that reason it will live in my heart, like a movie that represents my addiction to cinema, seeing what I can and when I can, having that little hope of one day being able to do what I would like to do. I really recommend it.

Realmente no esperaba algo grandioso al ver Cinema Paradiso, solo quería ver algo diferente, de otro país, en otro idioma, algo que me mostrara la forma en como hacían cine en otra parte del mundo, me tope con lo que es ahora mi película favorita, sin ninguna duda, no hay otra historia que me haya hecho sentir como lo ha hecho esta, tantas emociones sentidas que es imposible colocarla como una película mala o mediocre, mucho menos con todos los premios ganados, por eso, Cinema Paradiso, es una gran obra.

La historia, en pocas palabras es sencilla, no es algo que de demasiadas vueltas o giros inesperados, es más una historia romántica de un niño y un anciano, de como se vuelven amigos hasta casi convertirse en padre e hijo. La sencillez de su historia la hace algo fácil de digerir, siendo tierna y dulce, no insípida y sin colores de por medio. Se presenta un romance en un punto de la película, es como un descanso de la relación entre el proyector y del niño, creando diferentes puntos de vistas en la historia haciéndola entretenida.

Lo que pudo cautivarme de Cinema Paradiso fue el estilo de vida del niño y como Alphonso quería un mejor futuro para él mientras lo apoyaba en lo que le gustaba, las películas que les prohibía que viese por falta de dinero. El apoyo entre ambos es algo tierno y esperanzador, hace sentir empatia por los personajes por sus acciones que los hace ver caballeros disfrazados de pueblerinos, es una historia que me hace ver como puede cambiar la vida de un individuo con el apoyo de las palabras.

Esperaba ver una película que tratase de las películas en general, pero me encontré con una historia de amor fraternal que me hace emocionar y llorar al mismo tiempo, viendo como hasta el final, un abrazo de un desconocido que trabaja en un lugar que te llama la atención, puede cambiar tu vida. Cinema Paradiso me hizo llorar a no más poder, por ello vivirá en mi corazón, como una película que representa mi adicción al cine, viendo lo que puedo y cuando puedo, teniendo esa pequeña esperanza de algún día poder hacer eso que me gustaría hacer, realmente la recomiendo.
