Today I selected the movie Gifted (2017) for the daily movie recommendation which is directed by Marc Webb who also directed movies like 500 Days of Summer (2009), The Amazing Spider-Man (2012), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) which I have not seen yet but I hope to see it soon even though I know it will not be a very good movie I want to watch once I want to see something that will give me some phases of action and I want to see the continuation of the first part these are the main reasons. I'm really glad I was able to see this movie last night after the last episode of Game of Thrones and it was something I really wanted to see for a while and I remembered the movies Kramer vs. Kramer (1979) and I Am Sam (2001) which are very good movies too, which looks a little like it. Let's get started and see why I liked this movie and I'll explain a few things about it.
In the movie it's about Frank Adler who raised her niece Mary Adler who remained alone after her mother's death since she was a baby, and in the picture above it's about the first day of school of Mary who is not so exciting to attend the classes and I really liked how the roles of the two characters fit.
Mary turns out to be a genius inheriting this from her mother and her grandmother wants to use her for her purposes as she did with her doughter who failed to solve an important math problem and wants to gain custody and for this she must fight with her son who does not want to leave Mary to her.
Although it is a drama has also comic moments which bring a plus to this movie and the director manages to make the transition from a genre to another very well in a pleasant way without forcing the script and the duration of the movie I think it's perfect being neither too long or too short and manages to qualify in the list of the best movies of this year. In conclusion Gifted is a drama movie which made me shed some tears having some actors which fit perfect to their roles especially Lindsay Duncan and Mckenna Grace who at the age of 11 manages to make a very good interpretation. I recommend this movie to everyone and I'm curious about your opinions , also don't forget to request the movie genre which you like to be recommended for tomorrow.
My rating 8/10
