The Intouchables (2011) aka Intouchables

a Themovieplace short review and recommendation to the Steemit Community

Another day another movie recommendation dear friends and steemians and today I had the genre comedy requested by @mariannewest and I thought to add the french movie The Intouchables (2011) for the daily movie recommendation being a happy and feel good one but have also some drama moments. I started a few years ago to be attracted to French cinema who managed to make extraordinary movies and like unfortunately many other foreign countries fails to make known their movies but this movie is one of the exceptions managing only with €9,500,000 to have enormous success and was 577,323 ratings on imdb where I found out also the information that this movie was the most successful movie in French language of all time with success in 19 countries and in Germany were 8.9 million tickets sold which is a great thing. Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano are the directors of this movie, directors whose name does not say anything to me but with The Intouchables they managed to make their name and their country more known even though the French are known that they make good movies, this movie managed to attract people who were skeptical about foreign movies and that should be done by other countries that are not seen by the audience. Let's get started and see why I liked this movie and I'll explain a few things about it.

Short Review(Possible spoilers)

The movie begins with Driss which is driving Philippe's Maserati at a speed of 180 kilometers per hour and eventually are stopped by the police who are lied by Driss believing that Philippe had a crisis and must be transported urgently to the hospital and the cops agree to escort them.

In the continuation we notice that the story is told from the past where Philippe is looking for a caregiver having very many candidates but has found no one worthy of this job until Driss show up being a person who did not want this job and his purpose was to be rejected by three employers and with this Driss will continue to receive his welfare benefits but Philippe asked him to come back tomorrow for the signature.

Driss returns the next day and he realizes that Philippe don't want to sign the papers and that he is in the trial period of that job something that don't want to accept but in the end is convinced by Philippe to stay for a month in the trial. My description of this movie ends here and I hope you will see it if you have not seen it yet. I know it's a movie that has many dramatic phases also but the comedy also appears and I want to catalog it more as a comedy than a drama sowing a lot from the tragico-comedy Life Is Beautiful (1997) in my opinion being among the best feel good movies from what I've seen . Is a movie in which the genres of comedy drama are very well combined and let's not forget that is based on a true story, with an exceptional soundtrack by Ludovico Einaudi especially the song Una Mattina and Fly being also one of the best composers whose song was also used in the movie Mommy (2014) and the name of the song is Experience being a masterpiece in my opinion along with the movie. The actors played very well in the movie especially the two main actors François Cluzet and Omar Sy which make this film one to see even if it's a tragic-comedy, at the end you're glad you saw such a movie having crying eyes but also a smile on your face. If you want a certain genre to be recommended for tomorrow you can ask for it and I'll try to find a movie which you have not seen yet, or if you've seen it I hope you enjoyed it (without anime and documentary), and will win the genre which is required by the majority.

My rating 9/10(one of the best feel good movies in the history of the cinema, a must see movie)

Thank you so much!! I will see if I can find it. I love French movies. Do you have any idea if it is available in the US? I will check Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. Between my kids and us, that is what I have access to....

This didn't seem like the type of movie that I'd enjoy watching, but I watched it at the request of my then-girlfriend now-wife. I was very pkeasantly surprised to discover a very well made movie from a cinematographic standpoint as well as one showing some very touching and real-world sort of characters. It's definitely a great watch!
