Sometimes we don't realize we are hurting until someone who cares about us says so.

Mental health issues will never end to be discussed and studied as human civilization grows. Apart from looking at the aspect of people with mental disorders, it can also be seen from the caregiver. Both of them have a big role.

For me, watching K-drama is not only for entertainment, but also for learning. I always choose Korean drama shows with a theme with which I can take a lot of new knowledge. The one I chose was I'ts Okay, That's Love.

Drama which aired on the SBS korea television channel in 2014, raised the theme of Korean drama, romantic comedy and medical psychiatry. With a total of 16 episodes, It's Okay, That's Love tells about the life of a very good-looking DJ and writer named Jang Jae-Yeol (Jo In Sung)

For his fans, Jang Jae-yeol is a perfect and admirable figure, but his very dark private life is never exposed to the public. Jang Jae-Yeol suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. He could only sleep in the bathroom.

His meeting with a first-year psychiatrist Ji Hae-soo (Gong Hyo-Jin) on a television show brings Jang Jae-Yeol to a new, more painful reality. From the big Traua, Jang Jae-Yeol also turns out to be a person with schizophrenia.

Ji Hae-Soo, a first-year psychiatrist who is also deeply traumatized by her past experiences with his mother, makes him apathetic towards romantic relationships.

Hae-Soo has a principle that she will not have a romantic relationship with anyone nor will he get married. His stance wavered when he met Jang Jae-Yeol. Although at first they often quarreled and became enemies, but, gradually, both realized that there was a feeling of liking for each other.

Many mental health issues were discussed

Besides learning about obsessive compulsiveness, schizophrenia, this drama also discusses a mental disorder called Tourette's syndrome. Played by actor Lee Kwang Soo.

This drama is not boring because in addition to presenting a bitter story, It's Okay, That's Love also has many funny scenes that are very entertaining. The interaction between the players is very good, we can feel the warmth of the family even though they are not related by blood

Can learn from Caregiver's point of view

Caregiver in this drama is devoted to Jang Je-Yeol. Then the caregiver is his girl , Ji Hae-Soo. From here we can also learn that even very close family members cannot become a caregiver.

The healing rate of a patient with mental disorders is also a lot if it comes from caregiver factors. Caregiver, and persistence of caregivers in caring for and paying attention to patients, the way the caregiver dares to agree to treatments for the sake of patient recovery also plays a big role.

In this drama, there is a part where Ji Hae-Soo as the caregiver is unable to let her lover be put into a mental hospital for rehabilitation.

Seems like enough reviews from me. The most enjoyable thing about this drama is that I know more about metal health.

Thanks, Hhive for reading my review.

One of my favorite drama. They has good plot and it close to our social where's mental healthness is still tabu.

This drama has many my favorite actors like Kwang Soo, Kyung Soo, Sung Dong Il, and last Gong Hyo Jin. But the plot is like slow but it's still accepted.

This is my favorite K-Drama of all time, it has it all and it was the first series that paved the way in South Korean society to be plural with these topics that were barely whispered or commented on in hushed voices.

I watched it on air, fell in love, cried, suffered, laughed, learned and reflected. Truly this is an unsurpassed K-Drama that deserves to be remembered from time to time, thanks for your post.
