It is an action and science fiction film, where the protagonist Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) and Sylvia Weis (Amanda Seyfriend) live in a world where people stop aging when they turn 25, and from then on a clock that everyone has on their left arm starts counting down. This clock reflects the time of life that each person has, which makes this story a unique and very peculiar.

Es una película de acción y ciencia ficción, donde el protagonista Will Salas (Justin Timberlake) y Sylvia Weis (Amanda Seyfriend) viven en un mundo donde las personas dejan de envejecer al cumplir 25 años, y de allí en adelante una especie de reloj que todos tienen en su brazo izquierdo empieza la cuenta regresiva. Dicho reloj refleja el tiempo de vida que tiene cada persona, lo que convierte a esta historia en una única y muy peculiar.

Time is the most important thing in this world, in fact it is everything. In this story time represents life, even money no longer exists. The economic system of this place uses time as the new currency, so, if you need to buy something you literally pay with your life time and the same happens when you work, you get paid with time thus extending your life.

El tiempo es lo más importante en ese mundo, de hecho lo es todo. En esta historia el tiempo representa la vida, incluso el dinero ya no existe. El sistema económico de este lugar usa el tiempo como la única moneda, así que, si vas a comprar algo literalmente pagas con tu tiempo de vida y lo mismo pasa cuando trabajas te pagan con tiempo alargando así tu vida.

I found this whole idea of the film fascinating from the beginning, it makes you ask "What would life be like if we lived the same way?" Because you can clearly see in this film the pros and cons if that were our reality, on the one hand we have that you can become immortal, as long as you have time on your life clock and you don't get shot or something like that, you will live until time runs out, but on the other hand you are aware of how much time you have left and that can become very stressful, especially when you have little time left like a day, hours, minutes or seconds.

Encontré fascinante desde el principio toda esta idea de la película, te hace preguntar "¿cómo sería la vida si viviéramos de la misma manera?" Porque puedes ver claramente en este filme los pro y los contra si esa fuese nuestra realidad, por un lado tenemos que puedes llegar a ser inmortal, mientras tengas tiempo en tu reloj de vida y no te disparen o algo por el estilo, vivirás hasta que el tiempo se agote, pero por otro lado eres consciente de cuanto tiempo te queda y eso puede llegar a ser muy estresante, especialmente cuando te quede poco tiempo como un día, horas, minutos o segundos.

The question this film can capture in anyone who sees it, is to consider if we really make good use of our time, it may make you think that in a way, we are lucky to live the way we have lived so far, because the truth is that being aware of when you could die, can become something desperate for most, however, in this story you can also discover that we all need to die at a certain point, maybe a body without aging can withstand much, but the mind can be really exhausted, and the truth is we are governed by what we think.

La interrogante que esta película puede plasmar en cualquiera que la vea, es considerar si de verdad le damos buen uso a nuestro tiempo, puede que te haga pensar que de cierta forma somos afortunados por vivir de la manera que hemos vivido hasta ahora, porque la verdad es que ser consciente de cuando podrías morir, puede llegar a ser algo desesperante para la mayoría, sin embargo, en esta historia también puedes descubrir que todos necesitamos morir en cierto punto, puede que un cuerpo sin envejecer pueda resistir mucho, pero la mente se agota, y la verdad es que nos regimos según lo que pensamos.

Will lives day to day with his mother, and they literally live one day at a time. They are residing in the poorest time zone called Dayton, but it's better known as "The Ghetto." Everyone is poor, everyone works to make ends meet, everyone lazy dies, and they also often steal the life of more than one to have more time. There is this activity that is considered illegal in this story called "battle", where they fight in a singular way for all their time and always one of the contenders ends up dead, in other words, a duel to the death where it is all or nothing.

Will vive el día a día con su madre, y literalmente viven un día a la vez. Están residenciados en la zona horaria más pobre llamada Dayton, pero es mejor conocida como "El Gueto". Todos son pobres, todos trabajan para poder sobrevivir, todos los perezosos mueren, y también suelen robarles la vida a más de uno para tener más tiempo. Hay una actividad que se considera ilegal en esta historia llamada "batalla", donde luchan de una manera singular por todo su tiempo y siempre uno de los contendientes termina muerto, en otras palabras, un duelo a muerte donde es todo o nada.

Unlike Will, Sylvia lives in the more ostentatious time zone where millionaires, also considered immortal, live. After several unfortunate events and some luck Will manages to get to that place inhabited by rich people called "New Greenwich" where he always wanted to live with his mother. There he meets Sylvia, who from the beginning finds him curious and fascinating, 'cause due to his origin he acts differently and this awakens her interest in him. There is no denying the attraction they have for each other, but Sylvia's father (who happens to be the most powerful and influential man with more years of life than anyone else) becomes an obstacle.

A diferencia de Will, Sylvia vive en la zona horaria más ostentosa donde viven los millonarios, también considerados inmortales. Tras varios acontecimientos desafortunados y algo de suerte Will logra llegar a ese lugar habitados por ricos llamado "Nuevo Greenwich" donde siempre quizo vivir con su madre. Allí conoce a Sylvia que desde el principio lo encuentra curioso y fascinante, porque debido a su procedencia él actua de manera diferente y esto despierta su interés por él. No se puede negar la atracción que tienen el uno por el otro, pero el padre de Sylvia (que resulta ser el hombre con más poderoso e influyente, y con más años de vida que cualquier otro) se vuelve un obstáculo.

There are "Timekeepers" who are the representatives of the law in this story. Raymond is one of them, he has dedicated 50 years of his life to this work and is very passionate about it. He constantly chases Will for being the primary suspect of a crime, although he has no irrefutable proof everything indicates that Will did it, he chases him to New Greenwich and arrests him, but Will manages to escape taking Sylvia as his hostage, from there a series of events happen that you do not expect where Will and Sylvia become inseparable.

Existe los conocidos "Cronometradores" que son los representantes de la ley en esta historia. Raymond es uno de ellos, le ha dedicado 50 años de su vida a ese trabajo y es muy apasionado al respecto. Constantemente persigue a Will por ser sospechoso de un crimen, aunque no tiene pruebas irrefutables todo indica que Will lo hizo, lo persigue hasta Nuevo Greenwich y lo arresta, pero Will se las arregla para escapar tomando a Sylvia como su rehén, a partir de allí ocurren una serie de acontecimientos que no te esperas donde Will y Sylvia se vuelven inseparables.

This story is so exciting that it is difficult to make this review without giving anything away, for this very reason it is clear how great it is and it goes without saying that I personally recommend it, it is amazing, exciting, sometimes confusing, intriguing, where everything happens very fast, a story to reflect and definitely a movie that if by now you have not seen it, I invite you not to wait any longer and do it.

Esta historia es tan emocionante que resulta difícil hacer esta review sin adelantarles nada, por esta misma razón esta claro cuán grandiosa es y esta demás decir que la recomiendo personalmente, es emocionante, exitante, a veces confusa, intrigante, donde todo ocurre muy rápido, una historia para reflexionar y definitivamente una película que si a estas alturas no la has visto, te invito a que no esperes más y lo hagas.
