So I just finished watching the first season of this series and I figured to share some quick thoughts.
What attracted me to the series was how it was described by Netflix as a perfect fit for those who enjoyed game of thrones. Perfect fit my ass. Anyways ..
The two main differences with game of thrones, is that in this case the contenders for the throne are just two and that instead of white walkers we have...zombies. Oh yeah, and it's in fucking china.
Yeah the plot is dumb and the execution isn't any better. I would expect some more screen time about the internal politics, character development, sex, gay sex, mother father seed etc etc but unfortunately we get a shit ton of zombie fighting and killing which after the third episode gets quite tiring. Oh well, at least unlike most zombie movies and series we actually learn how the zombie apocalypse began..
At least the show has some really good visuals otherwise it would be quite unbearable after a while.
Better not to waste your time with this even if it's just 6 eps... I will skip the second season and pretend the show never existed!
I will give Kingdom a solid zombie poop out of 10
