Just returned from watching Venom,

I will give it a solid 6,67/10. Worth a watch if you are into all these super hero films but nothing special... What I did like was how Venom was portrayed. It looked quite realistic and "real" and not "awkard" at all.

Other than that, meh. I will have probably totally forgotten about the movie in a week or so!

I'm out of the loop of the super hero movie, it's just not my thing. I'm glad it exists as there seems to be far more who love it, but I don't hate them, just no interest. It seems a growing genre though.

I'd hate to pay HIS dentist bills, geez what does a cleaning cost on those set of teeth?! ;)

I have to be honest here - the visualization of Venom was great! Well done!

The psychological portrait of Venom and his relationship with Brock - 2/10.

What happened to the loser Brock? A heartbroken mainstream journalist? Really? The great symbiosis between Venom and his host is because of his hatred and feelings of rejection and disappointment. They both hate Spider-Man. Speaking of which, how could you create a Venom movie without his nemesis Spider-Man / Peter Parker? Additionally, there were some "funny" moments, which I personally think were too much and in some way tried to imitate Deadpool's humor style... I don't know if I'm putting too much effort into this opinion, or my expectations were too high, but overall I could say that Venom was a romantic comedy with few action scenes and great visual effects..

Yeah that's what I thought. Unfortunately a bunch of blue people running, flying or jumping around tall buildings and blowing things up with a long stare or deadly fingertips don't do it for me. But I'm sure that masterful screenplay and top notch acting were a given here LOL
