Merantau 2009 - an Indonesian action thriller directed by Gareth Evans. A great movie, available on Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Okay, friends, this movie i recommend, honestly took me by surprise. The film introduces us a personage called Yuda, played by Iko Uwais, who leaves his village in the hope of teaching Silat to Jakarta students. However, in vain only to be bypassed while trying to save a girl from abduction. Just watch the trailer below.
**In general, the story of this movie doesn't really matter, it's just a good excuse, used to hold all the fight scenes together. So, sharpen your knives or swords, warm your fists and feet, because you're going to see one of the best martial arts movies ever made - I really enjoyed what i was able to watch. And i'm not just exaggerating for the sake of the dramatic effect, Merantau is a real gem from this point of view.** **A little summary.** >* **Yuda, a character experienced in the art of Silat, leaves from home to enrich his life experience and especially to find out what success is, according to the Merantau tradition. But he soon discovers that the streets of Jakarta do not compare to the small village from where he comes.**I really liked this scene, in which the two protagonists managed to put on a real show.
**In the action movie, Merantau focuses a lot on the fight scenes, in fact, the whole movie is at the service of these fights. The story is simple to trivial, but it offers plenty of reasons for Yuda (Iko Uwais) to demonstrate his skill in martial arts. Even though i had seen him years ago, he still managed to surprise me again with his superb choreography and top editing that puts you in the middle of the action.**Towards🙂 the end i can say that the film is not bad, it has a lot of action, so in my humble opinion, if you have the opportunity, my advice is not to avoid it. All🙋♂️ the best to everyone🌍
