¿Has visto la serie "Manifestó"?
I was very quiet using Netflix when I see the recommendation of a series called "Manifest", I read the synopsis and I think "that plot looks super interesting" so I decide to watch it, I must say that I made a good decision because the series has me hooked, it has a lot of mystery and things to solve, but, what exactly is it about?
Estaba yo muy tranquila usando Netflix cuando me aparece la recomendación de una serie llamada "Manifest", leo la sinopsis y pienso, "esa trama se ve superinteresante" así que decido verla, debo decir que tome una buena decisión porque la serie me tiene atrapada, tiene mucho misterio y cosas que resolver, pero, ¿de qué trata exactamente?
Manifest is a supernatural drama television series created by Jeff Rake and released to air on September 24, 2018. The series revolves around the passengers of Montego Air Flight 828, who after having traveled to Jamaica in the year 2013, when returning, their plane begins to suffer turbulence, but nothing happens to a major problem, or so it was thought, because when they touch solid ground it turns out that in the world five years passed, they have reappeared in the year 2018 suddenly after having been considered dead.
The world has continued without them, everything is quite complicated, but in the midst of everything that is happening, the passengers see the situation as a second chance. Now, an event as unusual as this evidently did not go unnoticed, everyone is shocked, the authorities begin to investigate, theories are raised and as everything progresses, a very mysterious situation is developing, some of the passengers sooner than later realize that what is happening may be something bigger than they think.
Manifest es una serie de televisión de drama sobrenatural, creada por Jeff Rake y lanzada al aire el 24 de septiembre de 2018. La serie gira en torno a los pasajeros del vuelo 828 de la Aerolínea Montego Air, quienes después de haber viajado a Jamaica en el año 2013, al regresar, su avión empieza a sufrir turbulencias, pero nada pasa a mayores, o eso se pensaba, pues al tocar tierra firme resulta que en el mundo pasaron cinco años, han reaparecido en el año 2018 de manera repentina después de haber sido considerados muertos.
El mundo ha seguido sin ellos, todo es muy complicado, pero ante todo lo que está pasando, los pasajeros ven lo que sucede como una segunda oportunidad. Ahora, un hecho tan insólito como este evidentemente no pasó desapercibido, todo el mundo está consternado, las autoridades empiezan a investigar, teorías son planteadas y a medida que todo avanza se va desarrollando una situación muy misteriosa, algunos de los pasajeros más temprano que tarde se dan cuenta de que lo que está pasando puede ser algo más grande de lo que piensan.

And how can it not be something bigger than they think?, if the passengers developed a kind of ability in which they receive "calls" (so they name it) that indicate dangerous situations, bad things that must be avoided to happen and everything is apparently connected. Our main protagonists (the Stone brothers), are the ones who receive more "calls" (especially Michaela) and are dedicated to helping other passengers, as well as trying to solve the mystery of everything that is happening, questions like what happened on the plane?, where were they in those five years they spent "missing"?, did they jump in time?, why they acquired that particular ability?, are present all the time, but getting to the bottom of the matter will not be an easy task.
The government investigates the passengers in secret, in fact many citizens believe that everything is the work of a government experiment, people begin to worship them thinking that the passengers are the chosen ones, that what happened is a miracle and on the other hand, others begin to demonize them, despise them for fear that they are bad, even calling them terrorists, creating movements against them. All this is a chaotic cocktail that puts our protagonists in dangerous situations, if the fact that life had gone on without them for five years and when they arrived they found everything different, their families, friendships, partners, was not enough, imagine living all that pressure from strangers.
Y es que ¿cómo no va a ser algo más grande de lo que piensan?, si es que los pasajeros desarrollaron una especie de habilidad en la que reciben "llamadas" (así lo llaman ellos) que les indican situaciones de peligro, cosas malas que deben evitar que pasen y todo aparentemente está conectado. Nuestros protagonistas principales (los hermanos Stone), son quienes reciben más "llamadas" (especialmente Michaela) y se dedican a ayudar a otros pasajeros, así como a intentar resolver el misterio de todo lo que está pasando, preguntas como ¿qué fue lo que paso en el avión?, ¿dónde estuvieron en esos cinco años que pasaron "desaparecidos"?, ¿saltaron en el tiempo?, ¿por qué adquirieron esa particular habilidad?, están latentes todo el tiempo, pero llegar al fondo del asunto no será tarea fácil.
El gobierno investiga a los pasajeros en secreto, de hecho muchos ciudadanos creen que todo es obra de un experimento del gobierno, personas empiezan cultos pensando que los pasajeros son los elegidos, que lo que paso es un milagro y por el lado contrario, otros comienzan a satanizarlos, los deprecian por tener miedo de que sean malos, incluso los tachan de terroristas, creando movimientos en su contra. Todo esto es un coctel caótico que pone a nuestros protagonistas en situaciones de peligro, si de por sí el que la vida hubiera seguido sin ellos por cinco años y al llegar encontrar todo diferente, sus familias, amistades, parejas, no era suficiente, imagínense vivir toda esa presión de extraños.

The series shows us a good plot that so far is well developed, the actors give good performances, there is a lot of mystery, many issues to solve, people to save, enigmas, among other things that every mystery lover I am sure will appreciate. As in almost every American series, the police environment is involved as part of the development of the plot. The only "deficient" thing that I could highlight but I don't think it is relevant at all nor affects the development of the plot itself, are the special effects or cgi used to represent some visions of the "callings".
I give the series a 4 out of 5, thank you for reading me. 🤓
La serie nos presenta una buena trama que hasta los momentos va bien desarrollada, los actores brindan buenas actuaciones, hay mucho misterio, muchos asuntos por resolver, personas que salvar, enigmas, entre otras cosas que toda persona amante del misterio estoy segura de que apreciara. Como en casi toda serie estadounidense, no puede faltar que esté involucrado el ambiente policial como parte del desarrollo de la trama. Lo único "deficiente" que podría resaltar más no creo que sea relevante para nada ni afecta el desarrollo de la trama en sí misma, son los efectos especiales o cgi utilizado para representar algunas visiones de las "llamadas".
