Good evening, Movies&Tvshows community 👋, today I come to make a casual review of a Spanish series that I saw a few months ago of the comedy-drama genre, the truth is that I really liked it, it tells the anecdotes of life of our protagonist and her friends in a very natural way, narrating situations that you can really see in everyday life.

Buenas noches, comunidad de Movies&Tvshows 👋, hoy vengo a hacer una reseña casual de una serie española que vi hace algunos meses del género comedia-drama, la verdad es que me gustó mucho, cuanta las anécdotas de vida de nuestra protagonista y sus amigos de manera muy natural, narrando situaciones que de verdad se ven en la vida cotidiana.

"Todo lo otro" is a series created by Abril Zamora (she herself stars in it), it premiered on October 26, 2021 and has 8 episodes that show us the life of Dafne (our protagonist), a transsexual woman easy to fall in love and dreamer who is not happy with how she is living her life, she does not like her job, her boyfriend has left her and as if that were not enough on a party day she has the realization that she is in love with her best friend, with whom she shares an apartment. As we move forward in the series we will realize that she and her friends are not living their dream lives, but still seek to make the most of the situations they are presented with.

The series was a pleasant surprise for me because although the theme is nothing innovative or out of this world, the way it is produced makes it very fresh in its genre, it did make me laugh, something that many series considered comedy don't do. Dafne (our protagonist) is a real case, she is very sincere and expressive, she is living her drama in real time, she knows she has a tendency to dramatism, but at the same time she accepts it and takes it so well that it causes sympathy, she always manages to assimilate her situation, managing to get ahead, creating a humorous narrative where situations that do not go as expected are funny because of how they develop or are handled by the character.

Todo lo otro es una serie creada por Abril Zamora (ella misma la protagoniza), se estrenó el 26 de octubre del 2021 y cuenta con 8 episodios que nos muestran la vida de Dafne (nuestra protagonista), una mujer transexual bastante enamoradiza y soñadora que no está conforme con cómo está viviendo su vida, no le gusta su trabajo, el novio la ha dejado y como si no fuera poco en un día de fiesta tiene la realización de que está enamorada de su mejor amigo, con quien comparte piso. Mientras avanzamos en la serie nos daremos cuenta de que ella y sus amigos no están viviendo sus vidas soñadas, pero aun así buscan sacarle el jugo a las situaciones que se les presentan.

La serie fue una grata sorpresa para mí porque aunque el tema no es nada innovador o del otro mundo, la forma en la que está producida la hace muy fresca en su género, si me hizo reír cosa que muchas series consideradas de comedia no hacen. Dafne (nuestra protagonista) es todo un caso, es muy sincera y expresiva, ella está viviendo su drama en tiempo real, sabe que tiene tendencia al dramatismo, pero al mismo tiempo lo acepta y se lo toma tan bien que causa simpatía, ella siempre logra asimilar su situación, logrando así salir adelante, creando una narrativa humorística donde situaciones que no salen como se esperaban causan gracia por cómo se desarrollan o las maneja el personaje.

The series has a lot of romance and hot encounters (I already mentioned that it was for adults 👁️), here you will not see gender discrimination or sexual preferences, everything develops in a very natural way, which is a point in favor of the series. Also, although it touches adult themes, it does not become heavy, because as I said everything flows in a fresh and humorous way, even the tense moments are not perceived as tense because of all the atmosphere built by the series.

The characters are all very colorful, they know their flaws well and are not afraid to express themselves, Daphne's boss made me laugh a lot and the friends say some things that well... everything is very funny 🤪. The dissatisfaction that you can feel when you are not happy with the life you are living is well represented in the series, in the end all the characters are only looking for their happiness.

If we talk about the couples, I supported 100% that Dafne managed to have an affair with her best friend for years, who has always been there for her, even in her sex change operation, but, did Dafne manage to get together with her best friend?, did something happen between them?, I'm not going to tell you 🤭.

La serie tiene bastante romance y encuentros hot (ya mencioné que era para adultos 👁️), aquí no verán discriminaciones de géneros o de preferencias sexuales, todo se desarrolla de forma muy natural, lo que es un punto a favor de la serie. También aunque toca temas de adultos no se hace pesada, porque como dije todo fluye de manera fresca y humorística, incluso los momentos tensos no se llegan a percibir tan tensos por todo el ambiente construido por la serie.

Los personajes todos son muy pintorescos, conocen bien sus defectos y no temen expresarse, la jefa de Dafne me hizo reír bastante y los amigos dicen unas cosas que bueno, todo da mucha gracia 🤪. La insatisfacción que se puede llegar a sentir al no estar conformes con la vida que se está llevando está bien representada en la serie, al final todos los personajes solo están buscando su felicidad.

Si de las parejas hablamos, yo apoyaba al 100% que Dafne lograra tener un romance con su mejor amigo de años, que es quien siempre ha estado ahí para ella, incluso en su operación para cambiar de sexo, pero, ¿logro Dafne quedar con su mejor amigo?, ¿paso algo entre ellos?, no sé los voy a decir 🤭.

I recommend it?, if you want to have an entertaining time, without a doubt, yes 😉.
