Como están el día de hoy?. En este día, yo vengo con una serie que realmente me gusta muchísimo. Esta la vi ya hace tiempo y volverla a ver para mi fue un placer total. La serie de la cual hablo es Violet Evergarden, uno de los mejores animes que para mi opinión existen a día de hoy. Hoy quiero dar un buen resumen de este anime y quiero resaltar algunas cosas del mismo

How are you today? On this day, I come with a series that I really like a lot. I watched it a long time ago and watching it again was a total pleasure for me. The series I'm talking about is Violet Evergarden, one of the best anime that in my opinion exists today. Today I want to give a good summary of this anime and I want to highlight some things about it.

Violet Evergarden

Violet es una pequeña niña la cual, desde su infancia fue usada como una máquina de guerra gracias a su irracional fuerza y destreza. Era normalmente llevada a los campos de batalla y muy poco era tratada como una persona normal. Ella la habían obligado a obedecer las órdenes del mayor, un general de alto rango el cual desde que la conoció decidio cuidarla y enseñarle un poco otras cosas de la vida más que la guerra y la muerte.

Violet is a little girl who, since her childhood, was used as a war machine thanks to her irrational strength and dexterity. She was usually taken to the battlefields and was rarely treated like a normal person. She had been forced to obey the orders of the major, a high-ranking general who, as soon as he met her, decided to take care of her and teach her a little about life other than war and death. 

Un día la llevo a una especie de bazar donde le dejo escoger lo que quisiera, y ella se terminó decidiendo por una joya verde esmeralda, ya que ella decía que se parecía al color de los ojos de él, del mayor. Aquí empezamos a ver el gran cariño que le tiene a este gran hombre.

One day he took her to a kind of bazaar where he let her choose whatever she wanted, and she ended up deciding on an emerald green jewel, as she said it resembled the color of his eyes, the major's eyes. Here we begin to see the great affection she has for this great man.

Luego de algunas escenas, comienza directamente la guerra, donde Violet (Nombre que le puso el mayor), pelea junto a él como su mano derecha. En cierto momento dado ambos son heridos, Violet pierde ambos brazos y el mayor termina falleciendo aparentemente. Antes de morir le dice que siga, que haga algo bueno con su vida, y que la ama.

After a few scenes, the war begins directly, where Violet (the name given to him by the major), fights alongside him as his right hand. At a certain point both are wounded, Violet loses both arms and the major apparently dies. Before dying he tells her to go on, to do something good with her life, and that he loves her. 

Violet desconsolada le dice que no sabe que significa esa palabra, pero el mayor deja de responder. Violet nunca aprendió que era la palabra o el sentimiento amar ya que no fue educada para eso

Violet disconsolately tells him that she doesn't know what the word means, but the older man stops answering. Violet never learned what the word or the feeling of love was, since she was not educated for it.

Más adelante vemos como Violet despierta en un hospital con unos brazos roboticos, aquí conoce a claudia, el cual es el hermano del mayor. Este vino especialmente a decirle que ahora ella viviría con una dulce señora para que por fin pudiera dejar la esa horrible vida atrás, ya que eso era lo que quería el mayor. Ella se niega a quedarse ahí y se va con el.

Later we see how Violet wakes up in a hospital with robotic arms, here she meets Claudia, who is the brother of the major. He came specially to tell her that now she would live with a sweet lady so that she could finally leave the horrible life behind, as that is what the major wanted. She refuses to stay there and leaves with him.

Luego de este monento, Claudia le deja trabajar en su empresa de mensajería y escritura de cartas. Violet sin pensarlo comienza y se vuelve de las mejores entregando estas cartas, gracias a su rapidez y agilidad.

After this moment, Claudia lets her work in her courier and letter writing company. Violet, without thinking about it, starts and becomes one of the best at delivering these letters, thanks to her speed and agility.

Un día mientras acomodaba cartas, ve como un hombre que era analfabeta, llega a las oficinas a pedir que alguna señorita le escriba una carta. Rápidamente violet se enamora de este trabajo y le pide a Claudia que le deje trabajar de esto. Este no le acepta gracias a su edad y a su desconocimiento, pero acepta meterla a una escuela para que aprenda a ser una perfecta Automemory dolls y porfin pueda escribir cartas

One day while she was arranging letters, she saw how a man who was illiterate, came to the office to ask a lady to write him a letter. Quickly Violet falls in love with this job and asks Claudia to let him do it. He does not accept her because of her age and her ignorance, but he agrees to put her in a school so that she can learn to be a perfect Automemory dolls and finally write letters.

Ya en las clases, Violet saca las mejores notas en todos y se vuelve la mejor de la clase, pero tristemente no logra graduarse ya que ella no puede interpretar los sentimientos de los demás y plasmarlos en una hoja. Una compañera de clases de Violet, le cuenta la triste situación que está vive en su casa, y le explica como ella le gustaría que si hermano le prestara atención y no fuera alcohólico.

Once in class, Violet gets the best grades in all her classes and becomes the best in the class, but sadly she does not graduate because she cannot interpret the feelings of others and put them on paper. A classmate of Violet's tells her about the sad situation she is going through at home, and explains how she wishes her brother would pay attention to her and not be an alcoholic.

Así es como Violet le escribe una carta al hermano tratando de plasmar los sentimientos de la chica lo mejor posible, consiguiendolo exitosamente. Luego de este evento Violet y la chica hablan con la profesora de la academia y está la termina graduando como automemory doll.

This is how Violet writes a letter to her brother, trying to express her feelings as well as possible and succeeding in doing so. After this event Violet and the girl talk to the teacher of the academy and she ends up graduating her as an automemory doll. 

Violet comienza con su primer trabajo, el cual es ir a un pueblo con otra automemory Doll, la cual tenía el brazo roto, a escribir unas cartas de invitación para el cumpleaños de alguien. Al llegar al pueblo ven que las cartas de invitación son para la fiesta de la automemory doll que Violet acompaña. Luego de varios altercados, todo logra salir medianamente bien y Violet logra completar sus primeros recados como escritora de cartas

Violet starts her first job, which is to go to a town with another automemory doll, who had a broken arm, to write some invitation letters for someone's birthday. When they get to the town, they see that the invitation letters are for the party of the automemory doll that Violet is accompanying. After several altercations, everything goes fairly well and Violet manages to complete her first errands as a letter writer.

El siguiente trabajo de Violet es directamente en otro país. Esta viaja directamente a un reinado donde encontramos a una pequeña niña que es princesa, la cual se va a casar con un príncipe de otro reinado el cual le saca como 12 años, esto resulta algo turbio pero nadie parece prestarle atención.

Violet's next job is directly in another country. She travels directly to a kingdom where we find a little girl who is a princess, who is going to marry a prince from another kingdom who is about 12 years older than her, this turns out to be a bit shady but nobody seems to pay attention to her.

En este trabajo Violet le empieza escribiendo algunas cartas, hasta que se conoce más a fondo con la princesa y esta le revela que quiere dejar de escribir lo que los demás quieren escuchar, que ella desea mostrar sus sentimientos reales y que no lo escriba alguien más. Esta princesa quería saber si el otro príncipe de verdad la quería o solo le escribía sus cartas alguien más

In this job Violet starts writing some letters, until she gets to know the princess better and she reveals that she wants to stop writing what others want to hear, that she wants to show her real feelings and not to be written by someone else. This princess wanted to know if the other prince really loved her or if someone else was just writing her letters.

Entonces Violet la empeza a animar y a enseñar para que ella escriba sus propias cartas. Esto sale bastante bien y la pequeña princesa se termina dando cuenta que este príncipe que le sacaba muchos años era el amor de su vida. Así violet termina su segundo trabajo más contenta que nunca

So Violet starts encouraging her and teaching her to write her own letters. This works out quite well and the little princess ends up realizing that this prince who was many years older than her was the love of her life. Thus Violet ends her second job happier than ever.

En su siguiente trabajo como doll, es convocada a una biblioteca junto a otras 80 dolls a básicamente reescribir libros junto a un trabajador que la biblioteca, el cual sería el que manipularia los libros para que estos no se rompieran más. El chico con el que le toca trabajar se enamora de Violet, pero por diferentes razones del destino nunca le dice nada y violet termina sus trabajos en ese lugar.

In her next job as a doll, she is summoned to a library along with 80 other dolls to basically rewrite books along with a library worker, which would be the one who would manipulate the books so that they would not break anymore. The guy she has to work with falls in love with Violet, but for different reasons of destiny he never tells her anything and Violet ends up working there. 

Luego sin ningún tipo de tiempo de por medio, es enviada a trabajar con un famoso novelista el cual entró en el alcoholismo por perder a su mujer y a su hija. Este hombre termina más destruido ya que violet le recuerda a su pequeña hija muerta, y aquí es donde tenemos una de las escenas más hermosas de todos los animes, en la cual violet salta sobre un pequeño rio creando una fotografía hermosa.

Then, with no time to spare, she is sent to work with a famous novelist who has fallen into alcoholism after losing his wife and daughter. This man ends up more destroyed as Violet reminds him of his dead little daughter, and this is where we have one of the most beautiful scenes of all the anime, in which Violet jumps over a small rio creating a beautiful photograph.

Luego de esta experiencia Violet se pregunta como debería sentirse después de quitar tantas vidas en la guerra. Aquí toma conciencia de todo lo que los altos mandos le hicieron hacer tratándolo como una máquina de matar

After this experience Violet wonders how she should feel after taking so many lives in the war. Here she becomes aware of all that the higher ups made her do by treating her like a killing machine.

Luego de esto, al regresar a su lugar de trabajo, se entera que el mayor si murió por la guerra, solo que nunca le dijeron. Violet pelea con claudia y va ella misma a comprobar esto que dicen del mayor. Después de tanto buscar encuentra su misma tumba y hace que violet caiga en una depresión severa al punto de no hacer nada más que estar en su cuarto

After this, upon returning to her workplace, she learns that the major did die because of the war, they just never told her. Violet fights with claudia and goes herself to verify what they say about the major. After so much searching she finds his grave and makes Violet fall into a severe depression to the point that she does nothing but stay in her room.

Sus compañeras de trabajo después de varios días de intento, logran alegrarla y sacarla de su amarga tristeza después de la muerte de la única persona que realmente amo. Luego de varios intentos de volver a trabajar, Violet logra exitosamente poner a un lado los pensamientos negativos para seguir haciendo lo que ama

Her coworkers, after several days of trying, manage to cheer her up and pull her out of her bitter sadness after the death of the only person she truly loved. After several attempts to return to work, Violet successfully manages to put aside the negative thoughts to continue doing what she loves.

En este punto, Violet es enviada a hacer el trabajo más triste y doloroso de todos. Este capítulo en sí es uno de los más tristes de toda la serie, y seguramente llores al verlo. En este trabajo ella va a una linda casa donde vive una madre con su hija. Violet debía ayudar a una pobre mujer con una enfermedad en fase terminal, a escribir 50 cartas para que su hija las lea en cada cumpleaños, y así su madre pueda acompañarlas en las diferentes etapas de su vida y que no se sienta sola. Este es uno de los episodios más melancólicos y tristes el cual de solo recordarlo me da ganas de llorar. Una historia hermosa digna de contar

At this point, Violet is sent to do the saddest and most painful job of all. This chapter itself is one of the saddest in the entire series, and you will surely cry watching it. 
In this job she goes to a nice house where a mother lives with her daughter. Violet was to help a poor woman with a terminal illness, to write 50 letters for her daughter to read on each birthday, so that her mother can accompany them in the different stages of her life and not feel alone. This is one of the most melancholic and sad episodes which just remembering it makes me want to cry. A beautiful story worth telling

Estas cartas se escriben tal cual como la señora quiere, y se dejan programadas para mandar cada una de ellas en todos los cumpleaños de su hija. En el mismo episodio vemos un pequeño apartadado donde le van llegando las cartas a su hija mientras va creciendo y es simplemente hermoso. Hermoso y triste

These letters are written just as the lady wants them to be, and they are left programmed to send each one of them on all her daughter's birthdays. In the same episode we see a little aside where the letters are coming to her daughter as she grows up and it is just beautiful. Beautiful and sad 

Luego le toca otro trabajo donde debe ir a escribirle una carta a un hombre en medio de una guerra civil. Al llegar a la locación tratan de atacar a Violet pero ella obviamente está super entrenada y no recibe ni un rasguño. Por su parte el chico al cual debía escribirle la carta su queda muy mal herido. En sus últimos alientos Violet le escribe la carta que el queria y luego tristemente muere. Violet se encarga de entregarle la carta a sus padres y a su amiga de la infancia, así terminando su trabajo

Then she gets another job where she has to go write a letter to a man in the middle of a civil war. When she arrives at the location they try to attack Violet but she is obviously super trained and doesn't even get a scratch. On the other hand, the guy to whom she was supposed to write the letter is badly wounded. In his last breath Violet writes him the letter he wanted and then sadly dies. Violet takes care of delivering the letter to her parents and her childhood friend, thus finishing her work.

Luego de esto al regresar, encuentra un tren parado extrañamente, aquí se da cuenta que en este viajan 2 amigos de ellas que trabajan con ella los cuales se dirigían a escribir un tratado de paz, lo que sucede es que el tren lo interceptan algunas personas que estaban en contra de este tratado de paz, por eso a violet le toca lugar y desactivar dos bombas. En esta pequeña lucha pierde sus dos brazos roboticos pero consigue salvar a los pasajeros del tren y a sus amigos.

After this when returning, she finds a train strangely stopped, here she realizes that in this train travels 2 of her friends who work with her and who were going to write a peace treaty, what happens is that the train is intercepted by some people who were against this peace treaty, so it is Violet's turn to place and defuse two bombs. In this little fight she loses her two robotic arms but manages to save the passengers of the train and her friends.

Luego de que la firma del tratado de paz se diera exitosa, Violet se reúne con la madre del mayor para agradecerle todo lo que ha pasado. Aquí es donde un alto mando el cual era el hermano mayor del mayor, se da cuenta que Violet ya no es una máquina de matar, sino que es una chica muy inteligente y con muchas capacidades

After the successful signing of the peace treaty, Violet meets with the major's mother to thank her for everything that has happened. It is here that a high commander, who was the elder brother of the elder, realizes that Violet is no longer a killing machine, but a very intelligent girl with many capabilities.

Luego de que la paz reina en el pueblo, a Violet la llaman para hacer un trabajo en la casa de alguien, en esta escena vemos a violet ir a tocar la puerta de la casa a en donde debería trabajar. Justo cuando abren la puerta Violet de sorprenden y acaba la serie. Aquí todo el mundo cree que la persona que estaba del otro lado de la puerta es el mayor, pero la serie solo nos deja saber hasta acá

After peace reigns in the town, Violet is called to do a job in someone's house, in this scene we see Violet going to knock on the door of the house where she is supposed to work. Just when they open the door Violet is surprised and the series ends. Here everyone believes that the person on the other side of the door is the major, but the series only lets us know up to this point.

Mi opinión

En mi no muy amplio conocimitno dentro de los animes, considero que este tiene mchisimo merito en su escenografia y en su guion. Las historias fueron perfectamente creadas para que violet empiece a experimentar diferentes emociones y que poco a poco pueda crecer como un ser humano. En esta serie no solo vemos un trabajo que se desempeña exitosamente, sino que vemos a una persona comenzar el camino de algo tan basic como los sentimiento, a una edad ya mas avanzada.

In my not very wide knowledge of anime, I consider that this one has a lot of merit in its scenography and in its script. The stories were perfectly created so that Violet begins to experience different emotions and that little by little she can grow as a human being. In this series we not only see a job that is performed successfully, but we see a person begin the path of something as basic as feelings, at a more advanced age.

esta serie esta muy bien planteada y realizada. Siento que en parte si s hubieran quitado ciertas escenas de relleno, habria resultado algo mas atrayente, pero realmente no tengo quejas de esta hermosa obra

This series is very well thought out and done. I feel that if some of the filler scenes had been removed, it would have been more engaging, but I really have no complaints about this beautiful work.
