Road To Oscar “Sound Of Metal” 🏆 [Movie Review]

Estamos en la semana final de esta pequeña sección dentro de mi blog, ya que en esta se celebra la mayor gala al cine del mundo, aun nos quedan muchas peliculas por hablar asi que en los últimos días será netamente dedicado al cine, discúlpenme comunidad gamer pero esta semana pertenece al cine. El día de hoy hablaremos de Sound Of Metal, una película que maneja un tema muy original a mi parecer, el cual es el conflicto interno de alguien que acaba de perder uno de sus cinco sentidos, alguna vez has pensado como seria tu vida si llegaras a perder la audición, además, que si fueras musico y ese fuese tu sustento de vida, como reaccionarias? ; A esa pregunta tendremos una respuesta con este film, que con una actuación increíble por parte de Riz Ahmed como nuestro protagonista, nos brinda una gran película que aspira sin duda a ganar muchos premios para los cuales está nominada.

Esta película es una mezcla de sensaciones, debido a que desde pequeño me detectaron una especie de enfermedad degenerativa en los oídos, si bien no es nada grave y hoy por hoy estoy bastante y mi audición es correcta, si cuando era un crio sentí la terrible sensación de que pasaría si me quedara totalmente sordo, es inquietante pensar el hecho de vivirlo y esta película que junto a la dirección y la banda sonora nos trasmite esa sensación de agonía y frustración, el hecho de que la película utilice el silencio como lenguaje cinematográfico es exquisito, como con pequeños detalles de sonido, quitando el audio, jugando con los sonidos de izquierda a derecha es brutal, ya que nos permite oír de primera mano todo lo que nuestro protagonista vive.

Riz Ahmed se convierte en mi favorito para ganar la estatuilla como mejor actor este año, si bien por delante tiene a otros grandes competidores creo que tiene las de ganar este año, una actuación muy complicada de ejecutar debido a los sentimientos que quiere expresar nuestro personaje, el perder uno de tus sentidos, debe de ser una lucha interna contigo mismo, como de un día para el otro tu vida puede cambiar en un segundo convirtiéndose un terrible caos, Ruben nos muestra lo vulnerable que solemos ser las personas cuando una enfermedad gobierna tu cuerpo físico, el viaje de nuestro protagonista está cargado de sentimientos y como la única forma de salir de esta situación es aceptarse tal y como es, y seguir tu vida a pesar de que las cosas no suelen salir siempre como parece.

Riz Ahmed becomes my favorite to win the statuette as best actor this year, although he has other great competitors ahead I think he has the chance to win this year, a very complicated performance to execute due to the feelings that our character wants to express, losing one of your senses, it must be an internal struggle with yourself, Ruben shows us how vulnerable people tend to be when an illness governs your physical body, the journey of our protagonist is full of feelings and how the only way out of this situation is to accept yourself as you are, and follow your life even though things do not always go as it seems.

La película posee un ritmo muy constante en su ejecución, te mantiene pegado a la pantalla debido a su trama bastante atrayente, ya que utiliza distintos planos haciéndola entretenida en su forma de verla, los efectos de sonido de verdad son una obra de arte, me hace recordar mucho al estilo que maneja peliculas como Intellstelar y First Man, las cuales jugaban mucho con los efectos de sonidos de acorde a lo que sucedía en pantalla, aquí si bien en un principio la música comienza como la favorita, luego pasa al segundo plano con los problemas auditivos y mentales de Ruben, dándonos una atmosfera de vacío, presión y desesperación, hubo dos escenas simples pero por la cual me fascino la utilización de sonido, la primera es cuando el prota está comenzando a hablar el lenguaje de señas, la cual nosotros como espectador no podemos entender lo que dicen en esta escena, ya a la siguiente es un poco más avanzado en la película, cuando lo vemos dominando esta forma de expresarse y el espectador empieza entender lo que se está diciendo a través de las señales.

The film has a very steady pace in its execution, it keeps you glued to the screen due to its quite appealing plot, as it uses different planes making it entertaining in the way of watching it, the sound effects are really a work of art, it reminds me a lot of the style that handles films like Intellstelar and First Man, which played a lot with the sound effects according to what was happening on screen, here although at first the music begins as the favorite, There were two simple scenes but for which I was fascinated by the use of sound, the first is when the protagonist is beginning to speak sign language, which we as viewers can not understand what they say in this scene, and the next is a little more advanced in the film, when we see him mastering this form of expression and the viewer begins to understand what is being said through the signs.
