Hola comunidad de Scrobble, hoy les traigo esta película para participar de la nueva dinámica, y que justamente acabo de ver. No soy de ver muchas películas de terror porque soy muy miedosa jeje, pero bueno, contra todo pronóstico logré verla.
Es una historia interesante y terrorífica, que recomiendo si te gusta sobre todo este género. Además, es una película finlandesa, y pues es bueno ir viendo películas de otros países para conocer también otras formas de hacer terror jeje.
Bueno, comencemos. Vayan por su mantita y un peluche por si les da mucho miedo jeje.
🎬 Un poco de contexto
Tinja es una niña de 12 años que practica muy duro para convertirse en una gran gimnasta. Parece tener una vida de ensueño, con una familia perfecta, pero por dentro todo es muy distinto.
Tiene una madre súper estricta que parece vivir sus propios sueños a través de su hija. Por eso quiere que Tinja sea perfecta, gane premios y, además, poder mostrar a sus seguidores que es una madre excepcional.
Un día ocurre algo muy extraño: un cuervo entra a la casa de la familia y empieza a romper varias cosas mientras intenta salir. La familia trata de atraparlo para sacarlo de allí, hasta que Tinja logra sujetarlo con una toalla y se lo entrega a su madre. Ella le rompe el cuello y Tinja termina llevando el cuerpo al exterior.
Pasado ese incidente, una noche Tinja escucha los sonidos del cuervo y sale a buscarlo. Lo encuentra muy malherido en un bosque cercano y, para terminar con su sufrimiento, decide matarlo con una piedra.
Junto al cuerpo encuentra un huevo y decide llevárselo a casa para cuidarlo.
Mientras tanto, Tinja sigue asistiendo a sus clases de gimnasia para prepararse para una competencia. Es una niña muy responsable y pasa gran parte de su tiempo entrenando, por lo que casi no tiene vida social.
Pasaron varios días hasta que el huevo comenzó a crecer de una manera extraña. Finalmente, se rompe y de él sale un extraño ser con apariencia de ave y humano. Tinja se asusta bastante, pero pronto descubre que la criatura parece verla como su madre y decide cuidarla.
Su familia también está pasando por varios problemas. Su madre tiene una relación con otro hombre llamado Tero, mientras que su padre parece mantenerse al margen de lo que ocurre.
Su hermano menor, Matias, también reclama atención. Después de varios acontecimientos en casa, Tinja comienza a acumular muchas emociones negativas y parece existir una conexión especial entre ella y la criatura.
Ahora pasarán cosas muy feas y extrañas con este ser, que poco a poco comienza a parecerse a Tinja. Tendrás que ver la película para descubrir todo lo que sucederá. No lo vas a poder creer.

😱 Partes muy tétricas para mí
La verdad, creo que fueron varias jeje. Como les comentaba, no soy de ver muchas películas de terror, pero en este caso me la recomendaron y decidí verla en compañía de mi hermana.
Esta película muestra una historia muy extraña sobre este ser que parece tener una apariencia entre ave y humano. En un principio, Tinja lo cuida como si se tratara de un animal, pero lo primero raro que ocurre es que el huevo empieza a crecer bastante, hasta alcanzar casi el tamaño de Tinja.
Se puede ver que este huevo tiene una conexión especial con Tinja: parece reaccionar a sus latidos, su calor y sus lágrimas, como si existiera un vínculo muy fuerte entre ambos.
Cuando sale este ser, es terrible porque lo primero que se ven son unas manos huesudas con garras y, obviamente, no parece algo normal. Al salir completamente del huevo, vemos un ser con ojos grandes, un cuerpo delgado y encorvado y un pico parecido al de un cuervo.
Tinja tiene que acostumbrarse a su aspecto porque termina tomándole cariño y lo empieza a cuidar como si fuera su cría. Por eso también tiene sentido el título de la película.
Ahora lo peor ocurre cuando este ser comienza a tomar la apariencia de Tinja, adquiriendo piel, cabello y hasta utilizando su ropa. Además, parece existir una conexión mental entre ambos, por lo que la criatura reacciona a las emociones y deseos que Tinja intenta ocultar.
Por ejemplo, una noche el perro de la vecina empieza a ladrar muy fuerte y no para. A Tinja le molesta bastante y la criatura termina saliendo y matándolo. Después, la criatura ataca a Reetta, la vecina de Tinja y también su rival en gimnasia, dejándola gravemente herida.
Entonces, en estas ocasiones, podemos ver cómo las emociones negativas de Tinja parecen reflejarse en las acciones de la criatura. Esto hace que sea cada vez más difícil separar lo que Tinja siente de lo que Alli hace.
En otra ocasión, Alli intenta atacar al bebé de Tero, Helmi. Tinja comprende que existe una conexión entre ambos y que lo que le ocurre a ella también puede afectar a la criatura. Durante la competencia de gimnasia, Tinja se lesiona deliberadamente la muñeca para impedir que Alli mate al bebé.
Para aclarar, este bebé es el hijo de Tero, el hombre con quien la madre de Tinja tiene una relación. La madre incluso lleva a Tinja a pasar un fin de semana a la casa de Tero, mientras él se queda cuidando al bebé.
Ya casi al terminar, la madre descubre a Alli y finalmente comprende que la criatura no es Tinja. Intenta matarla, pero Tinja se interpone para protegerla y termina siendo apuñalada accidentalmente por su propia madre.
La sangre de Tinja cae sobre Alli y parece completar su transformación. La criatura termina tomando una apariencia prácticamente idéntica a la de Tinja, aunque mantiene las heridas que tenía la verdadera Tinja.
Tinja muere y Alli queda como su doble. La película termina mostrando a la madre aceptando esta nueva versión de su hija, dejándonos con muchas dudas sobre lo que realmente significa esta transformación.
☁ Algunas reflexiones
Algo que siempre me frustra de las películas de terror es que los finales sean abiertos. Claro que esa es la intención de este tipo de finales, pero a veces me gustaría saber al menos por dónde podría ir la historia jeje.
Aunque también da paso a que tú imagines cómo sería el final, en base a tu propia interpretación o predicción.
Algo que me pareció muy triste es que la madre presione tanto a su hija, al extremo de hacer que tenga heridas graves en las manos para que sea la mejor gimnasta. Además, termina culpándola por algunos de sus problemas y por lo que ocurre con su relación con Tero.
Prácticamente era una familia que intentaba aparentar ser perfecta, pero cada uno tenía sus propios problemas. La madre estaba obsesionada con mostrar en redes sociales una vida familiar ideal, mientras que Tinja intentaba constantemente cumplir con sus expectativas.
Fue tanto lo que tuvo que soportar que siento que Tinja estaba emocionalmente muy afectada. Siempre se preocupaba por hacer feliz a su mamá y se exigía demasiado para no defraudarla. Y con todo lo que ocurría con la criatura que decidió criar, la situación se volvió todavía más estresante y aterradora.
Creo que justamente ahí está una de las partes más interesantes de la película: la criatura también puede interpretarse como una representación de todas esas emociones que Tinja intenta esconder y que finalmente terminan saliendo de una forma monstruosa.

Hello Scrobble community, today I'm bringing you this movie to participate in the new activity, and I just finished watching it. I'm not one to watch many horror movies because I'm very scared, haha, but well, against all odds, I managed to watch it.
It's an interesting and terrifying story, which I recommend if you especially like this genre. Moreover, it's a Finnish film, and it's good to watch movies from other countries to also get to know different ways of making horror, haha.

🎬 A little context
Tinja is a 12-year-old girl who practices very hard to become a great gymnast. She seems to have a dream life, with a perfect family, but inside everything is very different.
She has a super strict mother who seems to live her own dreams through her daughter. That's why she wants Tinja to be perfect, win awards, and, in addition, be able to show her followers that she is an exceptional mother.
One day something very strange happens: a crow enters the family's house and starts breaking several things while trying to get out. The family tries to catch it to get it out of there, until Tinja manages to catch it with a towel and hands it to her mother. She breaks its neck and Tinja ends up taking the body outside.
After that incident, one nite Tinja hears the sounds of the crow and goes out to look for it. She finds it badly injured in a nearby forest and, to end its suffering, decides to kill it with a stone.
Next to the body, she finds an egg and decides to take it home to care for it.
Meanwhile, Tinja continues attending her gymnastics classes to prepare for a competition. She is a very responsible girl and spends a large part of her time training, so she hardly has a social life.
Several days passed until the egg began to grow in a strange way. Finally, it breaks open and out comes a strange being with the appearance of a bird and a human. Tinja gets quite scared, but soon discovers that the creature seems to see her as its mother and decides to take care of it.
Her family is also going through several problems. Her mother is in a relationship with another man named Tero, while her father seems to be staying out of what is happening. Her younger brother, Matias, also demands attention.
After several events at home, Tinja begins to accumulate many negative emotions and there seems to be a special connection between her and the creature.
Now very ugly and strange things will happen with this being, which little by little begins to resemble Tinja. You'll have to watch the movie to find out everything that will happen. You won't be able to believe it.

😱 Very creepy parts for me
The truth is, I think there were several, haha. As I was telling you, I don't watch many horror movies, but in this case, it was recommended to me, and I decided to watch it with my sister.
This movie tells a very strange story about this being that seems to have an appearance between a bird and a human. At first, Tinja takes care of it as if it were an animal, but the first strange thing that happens is that the egg starts to grow quite a bit, almost reaching Tinja's size.
You can see that this egg has a special connection with Tinja: it seems to react to her heartbeat, her warmth, and her tears, as if there were a very strong bond between them.
When this being emerges, it is terrifying because the first thing you see are bony hands with claws, and obviously, it doesn't look normal. When it fully emerges from the egg, we see a being with large eyes, a thin and hunched body, and a beak resembling that of a crow.
Tinja has to get used to its appearance because she ends up getting attached to it and starts taking care of it as if it were her own offspring. That's why the title of the movie also makes sense.
Now the worst happens when this being begins to take on Tinja's appearance, acquiring her skin, hair, and even wearing her clothes. Moreover, there seems to be a mental connection between them, so the creature reacts to the emotions and desires that Tinja tries to hide.
For example, one nite the neighbor's dog starts barking very loudly and doesn't stop. Tinja is quite annoyed and the creature ends up going out and killing it. Afterward, the creature attacks Reetta, Tinja's neighbor and also her rival in gymnastics, leaving her seriously injured.
So, on these occasions, we can see how Tinja's negative emotions seem to be reflected in the creature's actions. This makes it increasingly difficult to separate what Tinja feels from what Alli does.
On another occasion, Alli tries to attack Tero's baby, Helmi. Tinja understands that there is a connection between them and that what happens to her can also affect the creature. During the gymnastics competition, Tinja deliberately injures her wrist to prevent Alli from killing the baby.
To clarify, this baby is Tero's son, the man with whom Tinja's mother is in a relationship. The mother even takes Tinja to spend a weekend at Tero's house, while he stays behind to take care of the baby.
Just as they are about to finish, the mother discovers Alli and finally understands that the creature is not Tinja. She tries to kill her, but Tinja steps in to protect her and ends up being accidentally stabbed by her own mother.
Tinja's blood falls on Alli and seems to complete her transformation. The creature ends up taking on an appearance almost identical to Tinja's, although it retains the wounds that the real Tinja had.
Tinja dies and Alli remains as her double. The movie ends with the mother accepting this new version of her daughter, leaving us with many doubts about what this transformation really means.
☁ Some reflections
Something that always frustrates me about horror movies is that the endings are open-ended. Of course, that is the intention of this type of endings, but sometimes I would like to at least know where the story could be going, haha.
Although it also allows you to imagine how the ending would be, based on your own interpretation or prediction.
Something that I found very sad is that the mother pressures her daughter so much, to the point of causing her serious injuries on her hands so that she can be the best gymnast. Moreover, she ends up blaming her for some of her problems and for what happens with her relationship with Tero.
It was practically a family trying to appear perfect, but each one had their own problems. The mother was obsessed with showing an ideal family life on social media, while Tinja constantly tried to meet her expectations.
She had to endure so much that I feel Tinja was emotionally very affected. She always worried about making her mom happy and pushed herself too hard not to disappoint her. And with everything that was happening with the creature she decided to raise, the situation became even more stressful and terrifying.
I think that's precisely one of the most interesting parts of the movie: the creature can also be interpreted as a representation of all those emotions that Tinja tries to hide and that ultimately come out in a monstrous way.
