Hola comunidad de Scrobble, hoy les traigo la segunda película de La Momia, más interesante que la anterior y, como era de esperarse, con más momias jeje.
Vayan por sus pipocas y empecemos con la peli…
🎬 Un poco de contexto
Después de la aventura de la primera peli podemos ver que nuestros personajes principales, Rick y Evelyn, volvieron a su hogar con varios tesoros importantes, uno de ellos fue un brazalete mágico con el que podías convocar y mandar al ejército del legendario Rey Escorpión.
La familia se agrandó, tuvieron un hijo llamado Alex al cual también llevaban a sus expediciones, porque sí, ellos siguieron trabajando e investigando ruinas y lugares antiguos. También continuaron sus aventuras junto a Jonathan, hermano de Evelyn y tío de Alex.
Alex heredó muchos dones de sus padres, la inteligencia de su madre y la astucia de su padre, entonces sentía que podía investigar los nuevos tesoros que habían encontrado sus padres, en especial ese brazalete.
Por desgracia decide ponérselo ocasionando así que se active una maldición para aquel que lo use, así que nuevamente se preparan para una nueva aventura. Esta vez para salvar a Alex y sobre todo no permitir que la momia regrese con la ayuda del Rey Escorpión.
En el camino se enfrentarán con muchos pigmeos (criaturas del lugar) y tendrán la compañía de la reencarnación de Anck-Su-Namun (novia de la momia), porque ella también está buscando ese brazalete para ayudar a su amor a volver a la vida.
Entre peleas y muertes será que los buenos ganarán de nuevo o los malos lograrán su cometido, te invito a verla ya mismo para saber lo que pasa en esta segunda parte.

💭 Lo que más me gustó de esta segunda parte
Esta segunda parte es terrible y, en algunos momentos, súper triste. Me alegra mucho que hayan sacado una segunda parte a las aventuras de Rick, Evelyn y la momia.
Lo que más me gustó es que la historia se centra en el hijo de ellos, en el Rey Escorpión e Imhotep. Alex era muy inteligente así que a pesar de haber sido secuestrado por Anck-Su-Namun y sus secuaces, él parece no demostrar miedo alguno.
Todo lo contrario, hace de todo para que sus papás lo encuentren, me pareció muy curioso que en cada lugar donde se paraban a descansar, él dejaba una pista para que ellos lo siguieran. Además de que los paisajes eran muy interesantes.
Él usaba lo que tenía para crear esas pistas ya que eran replicas pequeñas de los lugares, usaba agua, tierra, piedras, hojas y demás elementos que tenía cerca.
Para su suerte no podían hacerle nada teniendo en su poder el brazalete, pero una vez que se lo quitaran, ya podían hacerlo. Esto lo digo porque al ser un niño tan astuto había logrado que los hombres que lo cuidaban no lo soportaran porque era muy hablador y altanero.
Otra parte que me pareció graciosa es que, a la hora de ir a buscar a Alex, Rick va a visitar a un viejo amigo para que le prestara su dirigible y así poder encontrar a su hijo, pero este señor tenía muy malos recuerdos de sus aventuras con él, porque parecía que en todas ellas casi estaba a punto de morir.
Pero luego de “hablar con calma”, lo convence para que los ayude. Gracias a él es que logran casi alcanzar a los malos, pero al ver esto, la momia destruye con sus poderes el dirigible, haciendo imposible que pueda ser restaurado.
🏺 Lo que más me sorprendió
Ahora algo que me dejó sorprendida fue saber que Evelyn había sido la reencarnación de Nefertiri, la hija del Faraón Seti I, que vemos que apareció en la primera película.
Es muy impresionante cómo muestran que va recordando esa vida pasada, lugares, pasajes de su vida, hasta a su padre y cómo lo matan. Pero además se enteran de que Rick era la persona elegida para proteger a los vivos de las fuerzas del mal y vencer a Imhotep y al Rey Escorpión.
No sé si ustedes creen en la reencarnación y las diferentes vidas que podemos haber tenido, en mi caso y después de haber leído y visto videos al respecto, me parece algo real. Hay evidencia de que es posible y esta película se basa en eso.
Aquí también podemos ver lo que el destino puede tener preparado para nosotros, pero no solo eso porque nosotros también podemos decir qué hacer con eso.
Otra cosa que me llamó la atención fue la aparición de estos seres pequeños que no querían ser molestados por nadie y que a todo el que pasaba por sus tierras iba a sufrir las consecuencias. Entonces mataron a varios hombres, menos al niño Alex porque tal parece que le tenían miedo a ese brazalete que llevaba.
Pero no todo fue bonito ya que Evelyn casi pierde la vida, pero gracias al libro de la muerte logra salvarse. Fue muy duro la primera vez que lo vi, porque pensé que no se iba a poder salvar, pero no conté con que ellos tenían esos libros para salvarla.
Y por último casi las últimas escenas de la peli, cuando Imhotep y Rick estaban a punto de caer en el lugar de las almas. No me esperaba que Anck-Su-Namun dejaría morir a su amado sólo por salvarse a ella misma y que para su desgracia de igual forma terminó muriendo.
Esto afectó bastante a la momia así que decidió lanzarse él mismo al abismo. Es muy triste esa historia porque él hizo de todo para devolverla a la vida, pero tal parece que su amor no era tan fuerte y profundo como pensaba.
Por otro lado, en el caso de Rick y Evelyn no solo se ve ese amor, sino también la conexión que existe entre los dos y que hasta pareció estar escrito y destinado a ser desde hace mucho tiempo. Una historia de amor muy bonita.
Y bueno como era de esperarse lograron salvar el día y regresar a casa a salvo y con varios tesoros para continuar con sus investigaciones. Además de haber salvado nuevamente al pueblo egipcio.
🌟 Para terminar
Esta y la primera película me dejaron grandes aventuras, pero si tuviera que escoger cuál es la mejor diría que me quedo con la primera, ya que la trama de cómo se conocen y cómo ocurre todo en la ciudad es muy emocionante.
Pero la segunda no se queda atrás, también tiene varias escenas emocionantes, dramáticas y bonitas.

🎬 A Little Background
After the adventure in the first movie, we see that our main characters, Rick and Evelyn, returned home with several important treasures, one of which was a magical bracelet that could summon and command the army of the legendary Scorpion King.
The family grew; they had a son named Alex, whom they also took along on their expeditions—because, well, they kept working and exploring ruins and ancient sites. They also continued their adventures alongside Jonathan, Evelyn’s brother and Alex’s uncle.
Alex inherited many gifts from his parents—his mother’s intelligence and his father’s cunning—so he felt he could investigate the new treasures his parents had found, especially that bracelet.
Unfortunately, he decided to put it on, triggering a curse on whoever wears it, so once again they set out on a new adventure. This time, to save Alex and, above all, to prevent the mummy from returning with the help of the Scorpion King.
Along the way, they’ll face many pygmies (local creatures) and will be joined by the reincarnation of Anck-Su-Namun (the mummy’s fiancée), because she, too, is searching for that bracelet to help her beloved come back to life.

💭 What I liked most about this sequel
This sequel is terrible and, at times, really sad. I’m really glad they made a sequel to the adventures of Rick, Evelyn, and the mummy.
What I liked most is that the story focuses on their son, the Scorpion King, and Imhotep. Alex was very smart, so even though he was kidnapped by Anck-Su-Namun and her henchmen, he doesn’t seem to show any fear at all.
On the contrary, he does everything he can to help his parents find him. I found it very interesting that every time they stopped to rest, he left a clue for them to follow. Plus, the landscapes were really fascinating.
He used whatever he had on hand to create those clues—they were small replicas of the places they were in—using water, dirt, rocks, leaves, and other items he found nearby.
Luckily for him, they couldn’t do anything to him as long as he had the bracelet, but once they took it off, they could. I mention this because, being such a clever kid, he’d managed to make the men watching over him unable to stand him—he was so talkative and arrogant.
Another part I found funny is that, when it came time to go look for Alex, Rick went to visit an old friend to borrow his airship so he could find his son, but this man had very bad memories of his adventures with Rick, because it seemed like in every one of them, he was almost on the verge of dying.
But after “talking it out calmly,” Rick convinced him to help. Thanks to him, they almost catch up to the villains, but upon seeing this, the mummy uses his powers to destroy the airship, making it impossible to repair.
🏺 What Surprised Me the Most
Now, something that really surprised me was learning that Evelyn was the reincarnation of Nefertiri, the daughter of Pharaoh Seti I, who appeared in the first movie.
It’s really impressive how they show her gradually remembering that past life—places, moments from her life, even her father and how he was killed. But they also learn that Rick was the one chosen to protect the living from the forces of evil and defeat Imhotep and the Scorpion King.
I don’t know if you believe in reincarnation and the different lives we may have lived, but in my case—after reading about it and watching videos on the subject—it seems real to me. There’s evidence that it’s possible, and this movie is based on that.
Here we can also see what fate might have in store for us—but not just that, because we also have a say in what to do about it.
Another thing that caught my attention was the appearance of these tiny beings who didn’t want to be bothered by anyone, and anyone who trespassed on their land would suffer the consequences. So they killed several men—except for the boy Alex—because it seems they were afraid of the bracelet he was wearing.
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing—Evelyn almost lost her life, but thanks to the Book of the Dead, she managed to save herself. It was really hard the first time I saw it, because I thought she wasn’t going to make it, but I didn’t count on them having those books to save her.
And finally, in the very last scenes of the movie, when Imhotep and Rick were about to fall into the Place of Souls. I didn’t expect Anck-Su-Namun to let her beloved die just to save herself—and, unfortunately for her, she ended up dying anyway.
This really affected the mummy, so he decided to throw himself into the abyss. It’s a very sad story because he did everything he could to bring her back to life, but it seems his love wasn’t as strong and deep as he thought.
On the other hand, in the case of Rick and Evelyn, you not only see that love, but also the connection between the two of them—one that even seemed to have been written in the stars and destined to be for a long time. A very beautiful love story.
And well, as expected, they managed to save the day and return home safely with several treasures to continue their research. Not to mention that they saved the Egyptian people once again.
🌟 To wrap up
Both this movie and the first one took me on great adventures, but if I had to choose which one is better, I’d say I prefer the first one, since the plot—how they meet and how everything unfolds in the city—is very exciting.
But the second one isn’t far behind; it also has several exciting, dramatic, and beautiful scenes.
