Hello, everyone!
I've already done a post about ROOM 104. The Guest Book is a TV series with a similar theme: each episode is a one-shot tale that takes place in the same hotel cottage. The duration of the episodes is very comfortable - 20 minutes. You have enough to laugh well in the morning and boost your energy level for the whole day.
The resort town Mount Trace. People come to rest for the weekend and take off the huts at the hotel. There is also a guest book in which visitors should leave feedback but they write stories that happened to them during the rest. And these stories are so funny). The series itself is shot in old-fashioned colors.
Despite the fact that the guests are changing in each episode, there is also a basic cast of the actors, passing from the episode to the episode.
- Officer Kimberly Leahy (Kellie Martin) who is more interested in finding a husband than in disclosing cases.
- A succulent stripper Vivian (Carly Jibson) who lures visitors to the private room with a hidden camera and then her stepson Frank (Lou Wilson) blackmails the poor men with recorded video.
A courier who smokes weed at every opportunity.
Wilfred (Charlie Robinson) is the owner of the hotel, who hopes to revive the passion in his wife again.
And his wife who is cleaning the cottages and then brightly tells the visitors what was done by the previous tenants in the cottages. She does this not because of anger but vacationers were ready for what they'll see in their cottage). In general, the characters are very colorful. A great plus for me was the voice-over which leads the main line of narration of each episode. I like this hook and it always increases any film or TV series in my eyes. And so, there are interesting stories, ridiculous situations, quite pleasant humor, voice-over, explaining the motivation of the characters and colorful characters. What else is required?? Only more episodes).
The TV series was released by TBS. The premiere took place on August 3, 2017. The last series will be released at the end of September 2017.
