They controlled up to 90% of all cocaine and opium traffic in the world! The Cali Cartel operated from 1977 to 1998.
Instead of one charismatic leader, we have four, who can not even compete with Escobar in terms of the impact on the viewer. I remember that despite all the horrors that Escobar was doing, I felt sorry for him and worried about his fate, although I knew how it would end. In the third season, the villains for me are somewhat blurred and unattractive. I could not "catch" the evil wave of the syndicate. And The Cali Cartel is very different from The Medellín Cartel, at least it does not make an explosive on the streets and the leaders do not show themselves. They generally formed such a club of gentlemen. And the first episode begins that they plan to leave their business.
However, the series continues to keep the bar high. In the 3rd season, there are 10 episodes, as in the previous ones. The first two episodes are slightly slow, we are introduced to new characters, but then a good dynamic starts and you can not stop any more. As always, there are the inserts from the documentary chronicles. They are needed at least for us to understand how well the actors were selected for the main roles).
A part of the audience stopped watching the show, explaining that without Escobar, there is nothing to watch anymore. However, they forget that the series about drug lords in general. The third season should be taken as a new show, although it is very hard to do.
