Un día te encuentras en tu casa, con muchas ganas de querer darle una mejor vida a tu familia, pues no alcanza el dinero que obtienes y llega una oportunidad de trabajo en otra ciudad. Piensas que es lo mejor, llego lo que tanto vienes esperando, armas tus maletas y te vas con muchos sueños e ilusiones. Lamentablemente no sabias que entrabas hacia un maleficio, todo lo que imaginaste se desmorona, no existe ese cuento de felicidad y realmente acabas dentro de un mundo muy oscuro.

Esta seria la historia de Mateus, joven que acepta una propuesta de trabajo, sin saber que estaba entrando al trafico de personas y que se iba a ver totalmente involucrado en ello. El jefe Luca, parece una persona muy amigable, lo recibe con los brazos abiertos, haciéndole creer que ha llegado al paraíso, pero todo es mentira y se vienen días difíciles para Mateus. El viaje no lo ha hecho solo, Mateus fue junto a otros compañeros, los cuales también quedan atrapados y deben buscar una manera de salir del infierno.

Todo ocurre en las ciudades de São Paulo(Brasil), donde llegan 7 personas, hombres con muchas ganas de trabajar, no importa lo que tengan que hacer, simplemente quieren ganar dinero, vienen de una gran pobreza y desean mejorar su estabilidad económica. La persona encargada en llevarlos, jamás les cuenta lo que van hacer, nunca le comentaron sobre el trabajo, solo tenían en sus mentes que ganarían mucho dinero y que sus vidas cambiarían.
Cuando llegan al lugar, rápidamente se dan cuenta que es un deposito, hay mucha chatarra por todas partes y se presenta el jefe Luca. Las 7 personas tendrán largas horas de trabajo, incluido tiempo extra en muchos días, pero no importaba porque a según la paga seria buena y ellos estaban dispuestos a cualquier situación. Se quedan durmiendo en ese mismo lugar, van a obtener las 3 comidas y una vez terminen todo el trabajo volverán hacia su casa con gran dinero.
Pues se equivocaron, la salida no iba ser sencilla, mucho menos el trabajo, les iba a tocar muy duro y la paga iba ser un poco escasa. Tomo muy poco tiempo darse cuenta, que no eran trabajadores, si no, que eran unos prisioneros y oponerse a ello tendría grandes consecuencias. La vida de cada uno corre peligro, igualmente las de sus familiares, por lo cual deben idear un buen plan, uno donde puedan escapar y mantener la familia totalmente a salvo.
Grandes desafíos les espera, se encuentran ante una gran mafia, el mundo del trafico de personas y ellos estaban atrapados. Mateus se convierte en la voz de todos, los mantiene calmados, no pueden cometer ningún error, porque pueden pagarlo con su vida y la inteligencia juega un papel importante para poder salir. El jefe Luca cuenta con mucho poder, la misión no es nada sencilla, pero habrá que intentarlo, ya no se trata del trabajo, ahora lo importante es la libertad y comienzan a intentar cualquier cosa para escapar.

Mateus se encuentra en una posición muy complicada, no solo se hace líder del grupo, también se convierte en la persona que puede hablar con el jefe Luca, hombre que se encarga del trafico y que los tiene a todos en una prisión. El deseo mas grande es salir, aunque esta muy difícil conseguirlo y Mateus recibe una propuesta que lo coloca en ventaja, pero deja muy mal a todos sus compañeros y debe tomar una decisión crucial para el futuro de su vida y el de sus amigos.
Hay que recordar que Mateus es muy pobre, la madre tiene una larga edad y no puede seguir trabajando por su salud. El hombre encargado del hogar es el, toda la familia espera y desea el apoyo de Mateus. El jefe Luca le muestra todo un camino, uno muy oscuro donde se ve lo peor, existe mucho sufrimiento y hay demasiadas personas viviendo una película de terror. Mateus comienza a pensar en sobrevivir, aguantar para apoyar a su familia o enfrentarse ante Luca y buscar la manera de salvarse junto a los compañeros.
Este punto de la producción es complejo, muchos pensarían de manera distinta, puedes convertirte en un traicionero, una mala persona y seguir viviendo al mismo tiempo que tu familia se mantiene a salvo; como también puedes mantener tu moralidad, saber que hacer lo correcto es lo mejor, pero asumir la responsabilidad y el riesgo que eso conlleva, uno muy grande donde tu madre puede resultar muerta y tu también puedes terminar sufriendo mucho mas.
Lo que decide seguir Mateus lo respeto, pienso que cualquier bando no esta mal, estar en esos zapatos debe ser lo peor, hay personas en el mundo que no tienen elección, simplemente les toco vivir muy mal, nada es color de rosa y Mateus termino en un punto del cual no hay nada esperanzador.

Aquí podemos ver de manera detallada, lo mas oscuro que hay dentro de este mundo, sencillamente una aberración, como compran las personas, las manipulan y las tienen como si fueran un total juguete. Muy triste porque esto ocurre en la vida, lo que te hace pensar mucho lo que deben sufrir, todo lo que deben pasar estas personas y que no haya un freno ante esta horrible situación. Nos muestran como el mismo gobierno esta dentro de ello, pues son parte de la mafia y generan millones a través de la compra y venta de personas.
Luego esta la explotación, trabajan jornadas muy largas, poco descanso y una paga totalmente miserable. No pueden quejarse, la vida esta en juego y para sobrevivir deben hacer silencio. En su mente esta el día de salida, se encuentra la esperanza de poder huir, conseguir ese momento donde vean la luz y poder escapar del maleficio. Lamentablemente todo parece imposible, esta mafia tiene el control de todo, incluso la policía esta con ellos y las alternativas son extremadamente diminutas.
No hay compasión, cada persona es reemplazable, si no haces bien el trabajo, fácilmente llega otro mañana y te sustituye. De esa manera se mueve todo, comprar personas parece muy sencillo, lo cual es horrible y no puedo imaginar lo mal que la deben pasar. Es increíble como el cuerpo humano soporta esto, se adaptan al maltrato por sobrevivir, pues no hay muchas opciones, a menos que quieras ser asesinado o que acaben con un familiar, lo mejor es aguantar y continuar con el trabajo hasta que algún día puedas conseguir la libertad que tanto anhelas.

La película tiene una duración de 1 hora y 34 minutos, me resulto muy entretenida, además te lleva a reflexionar mucho, no es nada fácil imaginar lo que viven muchas personas, pues el trafico es una realidad y las mafias existen en el mundo. Pienso que abordan el tema muy bien, detallan todo de una manera muy buena e incluso llegan hasta lo mas profundo y sin muchos tapujos. Luego esta el tema de Mateus, un joven que esta prisionero y debe escoger entre sobrevivir o seguir apoyando a sus compañeros.
La recomiendo totalmente, muy entretenida la película, cuenta con un drama muy interesante y con un mensaje muy importante sobre el trafico de personas. Van directo al grano, no es para nada lenta y el protagonista desempeña un buen papel, quien seria Mateus y también Luca(Rodrigo Santoro) que es un poco reconocido, este actor ha salido en películas como Focus, los 33 y aquí hace un trabajo espectacular. Fue estrenada en el 2021 y se encuentra disponible en la plataforma de netflix.
