El rey Alfredo envía a Ragnar al rescate de Uhtred, atacan múltiples pueblos en busca de información, hasta que consiguen una pista importante, solo deben esperar en el mar a que regresen, pues el comprador de Uhtred volvería en busca de mas esclavos, pero esta vez con mas razón, porque sabia que Uhtred era una persona con mucho valor, quería venderlo y en ese momento fue sorprendido por la tropa de Ragnar. Uhtred estuvo un largo tiempo sin comida, fue azotado en distintas ocasiones, realmente fue una gran humillación que lo hizo perder su orgullo, pero siento que lo ayudo a ser mas fuerte y encontrar mas liderazgo.
Uhtred junto a su hermano Ragnar deciden atacar, la venganza que tanto buscaban, se encontraba cada vez mas cerca y con un buen plan entran en el terreno de Kjartan. La batalla fue sumamente buena, hubo un gran plan de estrategia, cuando hay desventaja se debe utilizar la inteligencia y esa la tiene el joven Uhtred. Por fin tiene de cara a su mayor enemigo, hombre que mato a su padre cuando eran niños, lo que destina un entretenido enfrentamiento entre Ragnar y Kjartan, mano a mano sin ayuda de nadie, comienzan a luchar en una guerra a muerte, que termina por definir una etapa que tanto se había alargado y también logran reencontrase con su hermana Thyra.

El joven Uhtred suena como un super héroe, pero realmente no lo es del todo, porque sus hazañas suelen ser realistas, pienso que los escenarios que colocan están muy bien, no veo momentos tan ficticios, me gusta mucho eso de la serie, aparte que Uhtred siendo vikingo de nacimiento, comete muchos errores y también hace algunos actos que pueden ser mal vistos, pero todo es producto de raza vikinga, tiene muchos impulsos, sumado a un gran corazón y esta combinación lo hace un perfecto personaje.

Esta segunda temporada enfoca su desarrollo, en la venganza y la batalla final, pues no hay muchos mas allá de atractivo, pero no esta nada mal, tenemos situaciones interesantes de por medio, por ejemplo, la situación de Uhtred cuando es prisionero, luego el momento que consigue su nueva esposa, la muy hermosa Gisela que es hermana de Guthred, ella resulta ser una mujer muy conmovedora que logra imponer mucha tranquilidad a Uhtred, genera que su rabia de vikingo se mantenga controlada y pueda tomar mejores decisiones.
Sucede el secuestro de Mildrith por los hermanos vikingos, Sigefrid y Erik se llevan a la hija del rey Alfredo, este momento resulta muy bueno, porque da paso a la gran batalla final, pues ella tiene un valor incalculable, tanto que dejaría totalmente destruida a Wessex junto a Mercia, en la gran miseria y genera la enorme oportunidad de los vikingos tener el mando. El rey Alfredo esta dispuesto a pagar todo, no importa si luego queda desprotegido, pero no tiene idea del plan que lleva Uhtred, guerrero que se avecina en una misión suicida y comienza la gran guerra final.
Muchos personajes que producen cariño, van muriendo en esta temporada, momentos que dejan mucha nostalgia, pero en cada batalla siempre hay sacrificios, una victoria no llega sin un sufrimiento de por medio, lo cierto es que la batalla de ser ganada, va colocar al rey Alfredo en una posición muy privilegiada, prácticamente será el gran gobernante de toda Europa, pero si los vikingos logran salir victoriosos, serán ellos quienes poco a poco van a tomar todo los terrenos, aunque la paz nunca va llegar, siempre comienza una guerra nueva, donde Uhtred va tomando mas protagonismo y su legado va en ascenso.

No puedo decir que me gusto mas esta temporada, que la primera, pienso que aquí hay menos drama, completamente todo gira en torno a Uhtred, lo cual me gusta mucho, pero siento que pudo ser mas, además que el drama en los episodios baja un poco, encuentro muchos momentos predecibles y eso en la primera temporada no sucedía. Los villanos vikingos no son tan fuertes, teníamos a Ubba en la primera temporada que imponía miedo, se podía ver que era una persona con poder, mientras que aquí no veo tanto eso, Kjartan no resulto ser lo que se esperaba y los hermanos vikingos de la batalla final mucho menos.
Si pude apreciar que mejoro el efecto de las batallas, la producción se ve de mayor calidad, hubo mejor presupuesto en esta temporada, lo cual es brillante, porque acción si tuvimos y mucho. Batallas largas, enfrentamientos en uno vs uno, batallas cortas, de todo un poco, pero en fin mucha guerra y enfrentamientos que estuvieron excelentes. No se guardan para nada lo despiadado, poca censura en cada uno de los ataques, los vikingos no perdonan a sus rivales y los cristianos poco a poco van adoptando esa brutalidad, todo en gran parte por seguir a su líder Uhtred que jamas dejara de ser un vikingo, aunque siga defendiendo a Wessex y el destino lo siga dejando al lado de Alfredo.

The Viking villains are not so strong, we had Ubba in the first season that imposed fear, you could see that he was a person with power, while here I do not see that so much, Kjartan did not turn out to be what was expected and the Viking brothers of the final battle much less.
If I could appreciate that the effect of the battles improved, the production looks of higher quality, there was a better budget in this season, which is brilliant, because we had a lot of action. Long battles, one-on-one confrontations, short battles, a little bit of everything, but in short, a lot of war and confrontations that were excellent.
