With the coming AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR movies coming up, there is a ton of speculation about where they’re going with the franchise, and what the fate of the characters are as Marvel moves forward with the next Phase. Robert Downey Jr. has already expressed his desire to eventually leave the character of Tony Stark behind (or at least the mantle of IRONMAN), and the comics themselves paint a picture of possibility that he could be one of the ones who’s path ends with this battle. But would the kill the sacred cow? It all started with Downey and IRONMAN. Can he really walk away?

They’ve definitely teased that some of our favorites won’t make it out unscathed, but do they have the balls to really kill off a hero?

Or will Dr. Strange just roll back time and save the day?

Honestly it will be sad to let him leave like that. To my interest Dr Strange has some value. Hope so it can replace him and has a good result.

Ironman has a lot of fans, it'll be a shame to see him go. But I think there's nothing more to his story. No more twists, it'll take a miracle to revamp his story. My honest opinion.

There's also the issue of his contract with Marvel. He gets to dictate his salary per movie unlike the other characters who have theirs fixed and unwavering. It's understandable since he's the star Marvel pitched their movies to the world. Marvel stated without a negotiation on a fixed salary, they weren't renewing his contract.

It makes sense that he should be the one to go but it will hurt to see him go.
