Hello everyone! My name is @xanreo. This is my first time publishing an article here in this community about a movie that I have watched. Well, I'm not good at reacting or giving some feedback about a movie show through writing, but it's a good thing that there is a community where I can try to express my thoughts, opinions, and reactions about the movie that I have watched.
So this time, I will be sharing with you this Japanese movie that I watched on Netflix called, "Usogui".

* Usogui is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Toshio Sako. I haven't read the manga yet because I prefer watching live action. Anyway, Usogui literally means "The Lie Eater".
What is the reason why I watched this movie?
A while ago, I was bored and I didn't have the energy to do anything, so I decided to open my Netflix account and find something to watch. When I opened my account, I saw one of my top 6 Japanese husbands on one of the movie's posters.
He is Ryusei Yokohama. I started to watch and idolize him from his Japanese drama, "Cursed love". And as his fan, this is the first time that I am going to watch him in a dark scene, which is in this movie, Usogui.
Anyway, Usogui is now one of the top 3 Netflix movies in our country (Philippines) today.
PLOT
Baku Madarame (Ryusei Yokohama) is a mysterious gambler. His nickname is Usogui (literally The Lie Eater). Club Kakerou is the top illegal gambling den, where gamblers vie to become the best in their profession. Seeing through the lies of others, Baku Madarame challenges a variety of high stakes games at Club Kakerou.

I really don't know about gambling because I am a good person. CHAROUGHT! But I still watched it, though at first I really didn't understand anything. It was just a bet between him and their royal leader.
However, when I focused on the story, I finally understood what the main character was attempting to accomplish.
What are my expectations before vs. reality after watching this movie?
At first, I thought this movie was boring because I'm not really into action where there's a gun fight or gambling between gangsters, etc. But I can tell you that it is really a nice movie because there is a relationship or back story between the protagonists and antagonists. So far, I don't hate the antagonist because they are just victims of the bad habits of other people, and instead I pitied him because of that.
Did I dislike or like this movie?
What I really like about this movie is how Ryusei's role in this movie is so cool! He is just a humble person who can act as if he is not a rich person, but in reality he can get what he wants by just playing gambling. Despite this role for him, there is also what I really like about his character here, and that is his funny side, and you will find the reason why I said this when you watch this movie on Netflix because I don't want to spoil you.
Anyway, another reason why I like this movie is because I can feel its aura like alice in borderland movie, where you will fight between life and death. Because you will come to a point where you can also bet your life on them, not for the money but for the peace of the world. Because those people who are playing with Usogui are doing bad things, they lie, and he wants to end them by playing with them.
And what I hate about this game is that I'm not satisfied with the ending, but I hope there is a season 2 for this movie because I did some research and this movie was released on February 11, 2022, and this movie was directed by Hideo Nakata.
Conclusion...
This movie is so good that it left me hanging at the end because it's not enough. However, I can tell that this movie is a good movie and it's not really into more action because this movie will also give us a good reason to watch it.
Even though I don't know about gambling because I'm a Filipino, I just know how to play "Pair Card Game" and "Pusoy-dos," also known as "Poker Game." Lol
Anyway, this is my feedback of this movie, and I hope that you will watch it! Thank you for reading!
