There is something almost regal in how Eddie Murphy steps back to let others shine in this sweet sequel to the beloved “Coming to America” — nearly three decades & a half later! (Ah, where did all the time go...)
Sure, some gags are recycled and predictable, but overall a feel good, fun movie, featuring the original cast & fresh new faces—Wesley Snipes is wickedly good and Leslie Jones a riot!
Soundtrack/choreography are pretty cool, too, and the costumes are so spectacular that they nearly steal the show, as best supporting actors 👑
So, if you’re looking for uncomplicated, light entertainment (& are not the type to hold sequels to too high a standard) this movie is good Covid relief — because laughter is the best medicine.
