On this first occasion I bring you a review of a film that was released on Netflix on August 5, It is a South Korean film that was directed by Jung Byung-Gil and is a Thriller full of action that will leave you somewhat impressed by how intense What is it.
Carter shows us a young agent who wakes up with no memory and with a strange rescue mission in a devastated Korea after a deadly pandemic that involves the United States, This agent must rescue a girl with the help of a voice that guides him. from a device that was implanted in his head; but his mission will be very difficult to accomplish due to all the obstacles that are presented to him. Will Carter be able to rescue this little girl who is the cure for this deadly infection?
The movie lasts 2h 14m and it is pure intense action from the beginning to the end, as I said before, it is a Korean film and it involves North Americans, so we will have both languages present throughout the entire film.
Carter has a combination of zombies with a rescue mission, which is interesting, it's a movie with a plot that falls short on many occasions and with a rather weak script; It should be noted that Carter's strong point is his action and we will have it present throughout the movie to the point where the protagonist will not have rest even for 1 second.
What bothers me the most about Carter is the movement of the camera, they were strange movements that reach a point of dizziness, especially in the chase scenes, I feel that this resource could have been of better use if they had done it differently . Sometimes several parts of the scenes could be easily predicted because of this camera movement and for me it was the worst part of the movie.
The main characters are good, but without much to highlight, sometimes I felt the performances a bit forced, especially those of the American characters. The characters of the infected people are like zombies, but with awareness, they know they are infected and are often aware of what they do, they are aggressive and have a murderous instinct.
Carter has some scenes that leave you quite satisfied, but he also has quite fake scenes that are notorious, but despite this, he is still entertaining. One point to note is that the zombies do not have as much prominence as many of us would like, it is as if we know that they are there, but that we will not see them almost throughout the film, The ending is weak and leaves open the possibility that the story continues in a second installment.
En Conclusión, Carter es una película que no es mala, pero tampoco es increíble; está llena de una acción super violenta que llega a entretener. Es una película que recomendaría a los amantes de este género y si eres sensible a la sangre entonces es mejor que no la veas. Mi Puntaje Final es de 7.5/10
