Ha pasado casi una década desde que un virus convirtiera a los ciudadanos de Gran Bretaña, es seres salvajes, tiempo despues este virus aparece con más fuerza y el gobierno como último recurso para salvar a lo que queda del pueblo, decide enviar a un grupo de elite comandado por Eden Sinclair para encontrar una cura sin importar el precio a pagar.

Doomsday es una película del 2008, fue dirigida por Neil Marshall y protagonizada por Rhona Mitra. Tiene una duración de 1 h 53 m y es una película de Ciencia ficción con mucha acción de la buena, la pueden encontrar en Netflix y aunque está protagonizada por Rhona, también están presentes actores y actrices como Malcolm McDowell, Bob Hoskins, Alexander Siddig, Nora-Jane Noone, Sean Pertwee, Rick Warden, David O’Hara, Adrián Lester, Martin Compston y Lee-Anne Liebenberg.

Doomsday is a 2008 movie, it was directed by Neil Marshall and starring Rhona Mitra. It has a duration of 1 h 53 m and is a Sci-Fi movie with a lot of good action, you can find it on Netflix and although it stars Rhona, actors and actresses such as Malcolm McDowell, Bob Hoskins, Alexander Siddig, Nora-Jane Noone, Sean Pertwee, Rick Warden, David O'Hara, Adrian Lester, Martin Compston and Lee-Anne Liebenberg are also present.

En esta película veremos como un virus mortal destruye un gran porcentaje de la población de Escocia y tras este suceso, el Gobierno Británico decide dividir a los ciudadanos construyendo un gran muro para contener el virus y evitar que se extienda, esto provoca que Escocia se convierta en un lugar mortal debido a que es en este lugar donde habitan los infectados. Tiempo después el virus vuelve aparecer, pero en Londres y en esta ocasión el Gobierno toma una decisión desesperada al enviar a un grupo de elite a donde inicio todo y así poder obtener una cura para el virus “Reaper".

Doomsday tiene una trama con un ritmo frenético y algo descuidado, la película tiene un buen inicio y te plantean el tema del virus bastante bien; pero a medida que va avanzando la historia comienza a no tener sentido y el director se desvía del tema principal e introduce elementos que aportan a la acción, pero no a la historia como tal, siento que unieron varios elementos que no pegan; quizás si hubiera solo dejado el tema de los infectados y la pandilla de locos la historia hubiera estado mucho mejor, En algunas ocasiones la película me recordaba a Mad Max y creo que quizás el director lo quiso de esa manera.

Doomsday has a plot with a frenetic and somewhat sloppy pace, the film has a good start and you raise the issue of the virus quite well; but as it progresses the story begins to make no sense and the director deviates from the main theme and introduces elements that contribute to the action, but not to the story as such, I feel that they joined several elements that do not stick; Perhaps if he had only left the theme of the infected and the crazy gang the story would have been much better, at times the film reminded me of Mad Max and I think maybe the director wanted it that way.

Tengo que resaltar que la película tiene una acción que me encanto, muchas muertes y es muy sangrienta; su ritmo es frenético desde el principio y se mantiene hasta el final, es de esas películas que no tiene censura en cuanto a las muertes y puede que llegue al límite de ser algo Gore, Lo Descuidado de la historia es compensado con la Acción y se logra disfrutar; tiene buenos efectos especiales y la ambientación le da un toque interesante a la historia.

I have to emphasize that the film has an action that I loved, many deaths and is very bloody; its pace is frenetic from the beginning and is maintained until the end, it is one of those films that has no censorship in terms of deaths and may reach the limit of being something Gore, the sloppy story is offset by the action and manages to enjoy; has good special effects and the setting gives an interesting touch to the story.

Los personajes son buenos, cada uno de ellos aportan de manera positiva a la historia y se nota que las actuaciones no son forzadas, hay una buena conexión entre todos y Rhona se roba toda la atención con su actuación, Me encanto su personaje y la fuerza con la que lo interpreta es increíble. Bob Hoskins y Malcolm McDowell realizan una buena actuación y el personaje de Craig Conway es una locura total, en el buen sentido.

The characters are good, each of them contribute positively to the story and you can tell that the performances are not forced, there is a good connection between everyone and Rhona steals all the attention with her performance, I loved her character and the strength with which she plays it is incredible. Bob Hoskins and Malcolm McDowell give good performances and Craig Conway's character is totally crazy, in a good way.

En Conclusión, Doomsday es una película con una historia floja, pero que se ve compensada con la acción que tiene, me gusto a pesar de que en muchas ocasiones los elementos que nos presentan no tenían sentido para mí, es una película que recomiendo solo por la parte de la acción sangrienta que muestra desde el inicio hasta el final y si te gusta este tipo de películas puede que pases un buen rato. Mi Puntuación Final es dé.

In Conclusion, Doomsday is a movie with a weak story, but that is compensated with the action it has, I liked it even though in many occasions the elements that are presented to us did not make sense to me, it is a movie that I recommend just for the part of the bloody action that shows from the beginning to the end and if you like this kind of movies you may have a good time.My final score is give.
