La Familia Brannock decide dejar la ciudad de lado y mudarse a los suburbios luego de quedar enamorados de una casa magnífica, pero días después de instalarse comienzan a recibir siniestras cartas firmadas por el "El Vigilante" que los pondrán en un estado de tensión y locura, Para la Familia Brannock este nuevo comienzo será un completo infierno y sus vecinos no ayudaran mucho para su estado de intranquilidad.

The Brannock Family decides to leave the city behind and move to the suburbs after falling in love with a magnificent house, but days after settling in, they begin to receive sinister letters signed by "The Watcher" that will put them in a state of tension and madness. For the Brannock Family this new beginning will be a complete hell and their neighbors will not help much for their state of uneasiness.

El Vigilante es una serie de Ian Brennan y Ryan Murphy que fue estrenada hace poco en Netflix, cuenta con 7 capítulos que no pasan de los 52 m y según está basada en la vida real, tiene un gran reparto encabezado por Naomi Watts y Bobby Cannavale. Es una mini serie de Drama y Suspenso con un toque de tensión que está presente desde el capítulo 1 hasta el capítulo 7.

The Watcher is a series by Ian Brennan and Ryan Murphy that was recently released on Netflix, it has 7 chapters that do not go over 52 m and according to it is based on real life, it has a great cast headed by Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale. It is a Drama and Suspense mini series with a touch of tension that is present from chapter 1 to chapter 7.

Al saber que esta mini serie está basada en la vida real decidí investigar un poco sobre su historia antes de ver la serie, en mi investigación conseguí que esto sucedió en el año 2014 cuando una pareja junto a sus 2 hijos se mudaron a una casa muy hermosa ubicada en 657 Boulevard en Westfield, Nueva Jersey. Poco tiempo después comenzaron a recibir cartas firmadas por "El Vigilante", esta familia debido al miedo que le generaba esta situación decidieron vender de inmediato la propiedad, pero realmente no lograron venderla, por lo que decidieron alquilarla a otras personas y no fue hasta el año 2019 que la casa logro ser vendida.

Knowing that this mini series is based on real life I decided to investigate a little about its history before watching the series, in my research I got that this happened in 2014 when a couple with their 2 children moved to a very beautiful house located at 657 Boulevard in Westfield, New Jersey. Shortly after they began to receive letters signed by "The Watcher", this family due to the fear that this situation generated in them decided to sell the property immediately, but they did not really manage to sell it, so they decided to rent it to other people and it was not until 2019 that the house managed to be sold.

Luego de terminar El Vigilante me di cuenta de que la historia de la serie es algo diferente a lo que sucedió en la vida real, tiene más drama y más suspenso de lo que fue en realidad. En la serie veremos como la familia Brannock compra una mansión que realmente no se pueden permitir, pero Dean hace hasta lo imposible por obtenerla, poco tiempo de haberse instalado comienzan a recibir extrañas cartas con un contenido que los hace temblar de terror y veremos como Dean y Nora e incluso los niños se van volviendo cada vez más desesperados por la situación y Dean realmente entra en un estado de psicosis debido al acoso que su familia y él reciben constantemente por el vigilante y por sus vecinos.

After finishing The Watcher I realized that the story of the series is somewhat different from what happened in real life, it has more drama and more suspense than it really was. In the series we will see how the Brannock family buys a mansion that they really can't afford, but Dean does the impossible to get it, shortly after moving in they begin to receive strange letters with a content that makes them tremble with terror and we will see how Dean and Nora and even the children become more and more desperate about the situation and Dean really goes into a state of psychosis due to the harassment that his family and he receive constantly by the vigilante and by his neighbors.

En la pequeña comunidad donde ellos deciden mudarse, se encuentran con unos vecinos realmente extraños; por un lado, tenemos a una pareja de la tercera edad con una obsesión por vigilar todos los movimientos de cada persona que se muda a esa casa en específico y por el otro tenemos a una señora que vive con su hermano que al parecer es una persona especial, cada uno de los vecinos se empeñan en vigilar esta casa y tienen una obsesión de luchar para que no le hagan ni la más mínima modificación a la casa.

In the small community where they decide to move, they find some really strange neighbors; on the one hand, we have an elderly couple with an obsession to watch every move of every person who moves into that specific house and on the other hand we have a lady who lives with her brother who apparently is a special person, each of the neighbors are determined to watch this house and have an obsession to fight so that they do not make even the slightest modification to the house.

A medida que van pasando los capítulos tu cabeza va creando teorías que son destruidas a los 15 minutos, van apareciendo personajes poco a poco y se van posicionando en la lista de sospechosos para ser El Vigilante. Es una serie llena de tensión y te pones en los zapatos de Dean y Nora, ves como cada vez más entran en un estado de obsesión por descubrir quien es él, manda esas cartas tan extrañas y esto los va separando como familia.

As the chapters go by your head is creating theories that are destroyed after 15 minutes, characters are appearing little by little and are positioned on the list of suspects to be The Watcher. It is a series full of tension and you put yourself in Dean and Nora's shoes, you see how more and more they enter a state of obsession to discover who he is, he sends those strange letters and this is separating them as a family.

Me gusta mucho el cómo esta serie se presta para que tu mente se meta en el papel de detective y comience a formar teorías de quien podría ser el vigilante, te hace analizar cada movimiento que da cada personaje y te hace sospechar hasta de los protagonistas; creo que nadie se salva de ser culpable, ni siquiera los hijos de Dean y Nora. Todos y cada uno tienen secretos que son revelados poco a poco y van encajando a medida que avanza la historia.

I really like how this series lends itself to get your mind into the role of detective and start forming theories of who could be The Watcher, it makes you analyze every move that each character makes and makes you suspect even the main characters; I think no one is saved from being guilty, not even the children of Dean and Nora. Each and every one has secrets that are revealed little by little and fit together as the story progresses.

Los personajes están muy bien construidos y pienso que los actores y actrices que escogieron fueron los ideales, me encanta Naomi Watts (Nora) y sinceramente fue una de las principales razones del porqué escogí ver esta serie, el personaje que menos me gusto fue el de Bobby Cannavale (Dean) y no tengo una razón para eso, pero me costó muchísimo conectar con él y tengo que aclarar que no es el actor, ya que Bobby realizo un increíble trabajo y te transmite su desesperación, pero Dean simplemente no me agrado, El personaje que me encanto fue el de Noma Dumezweni (Theodora) es la detective privada que contrata la pareja Brannock, me gusto muchísimo su personaje y en algunas ocasiones me causaba un poco de risa cada que decía que estaba segura de quien podría ser El Vigilante.

The characters are very well built and I think the actors and actresses they chose were ideal, I love Naomi Watts (Nora) and honestly was one of the main reasons why I chose to watch this series, the character I liked the least was Bobby Cannavale (Dean) and I don't have a reason for that, but I had a hard time connecting with him and I have to clarify that it's not the actor, The character that I loved was Noma Dumezweni (Theodora) is the private detective that the Brannock couple hires, I really liked her character and sometimes it caused me to laugh every time she said that she was sure who could be The Watcher.

También tenemos a personajes como Karen, quien es interpretado por Jennifer Coolidge, quien es una actriz que me encanta y el personaje le agarre un poquito de cariño, la verdad, tengo que destacar a los vecinos extraños Pearl (Mia Farrow), Jasper (Terry Kinney), Mo (Margo Martindale) y Mitch (Richard Kind) que personajes más extraños y que buenas actuaciones de estas estrellas del cine.

En Conclusión, El Vigilante es una serie de suspenso, desde mi punto de vista no tiene nada de terror y está llena de un drama desesperante pero en el buen sentido. Me gusto mucho y es una serie que tienen que ver, les explotara la cabeza con tantas teorías que se formaran, el final deja una sensación extraña, pero creo que era uno de los objetivos de la serie y tengo mi teoría respecto al final, pero debido a que no quiero darles spoilers la dejaré para mí, El Vigilante es una buena serie y que es muy fácil de ver hasta el punto de poder terminarla en 1 día como fue en mi caso. Mi Puntuación Final es dé.

In conclusion, The Watcher is a suspenseful series, from my point of view it has nothing of terror and is full of desperate drama but in a good way. I liked it a lot and it is a series that you have to watch, your head will explode with so many theories that will be formed, the ending leaves a strange feeling, but I think it was one of the objectives of the series and I have my theory about the ending, but because I do not want to give you spoilers I will leave it for me, The Watcher is a good series and it is very easy to watch to the point of being able to finish it in 1 day as it was in my case.My final score is give.
