I first heard about this TV show from a review written here. After reading the review I immediately thought the show would bore me or scare me so it definitely wasn't on my to-watch list. However, after watching the 30 seconds trailer on Netflix, I changed my mind.

A friend of mine told me about the show and said it was a lot like Lost, the movie series about a plane that got missing on an island and then the passengers began to have weird experiences. I only saw a few episodes but I gave up on it because there was too much suspense and I found it scary.
Manifest is a little like Lost, however, it's a lot less terrifying and to me, it has a bit more context. There's a lot of creepy stuff and honestly, there's way too much suspense but it's all worth it.
Basically, the series is about a flight that left Jamaica for New York and while the passengers encountered a storm that they were able to manoeuvre, they didn't know that the storm took them 5 years into the future. So while they were landing according to schedule, they had no idea that they were coming back to a world that had moved on without them.
While trying to get back into their new reality, a lot of the passengers realised that they had new abilities. These abilities seemed simple at first, however, in time they turned out to be abilities that would change their lives and the lives of their friends and families.
I found myself glued to my phone from Sunday when I started until a few hours when I completed the second season. The series was amazing and to a large extent, unpredictable. There was just the right amount of dialogue, not enough sex but we can manage and some worthwhile action.
I would totally recommend this and suggest you add it to your to-watch list.
Thanks for reading
