2 years ago and this movie still can make me cry.
Starring Bradly Cooper and Lady Gaga in this amazing remake was first created on screen by Moss Hart and was brought to life again in 2018 through the direction and screenplay production of Bradley Cooper himself, Eric Roth and Will Fetters.
In this romantic, musical drama, Bradley Cooper plays the role of Jackson Maine, a popular guitarist and loved musician who has an addiction to drugs and alcohol. he finds love in the bar singer called Ally, played by Lady Gaga.
Together they make music, make love and help fulfil each other's fantasy.
Jackson can get sober just for Ally and Ally tries to fulfil her dreams of becoming the star she is meant to be. Haven received an immense amount of spotlight from her relationship with Jackson, she is discovered by a manager who works with her and builds her into the kind of lady the stage would fall in love with.
Her quest to build herself and grow in her career leads to a certain amount of neglect on her husband who over time falls back on his old habits of drinking and drugging. Ally loves her man and Jackson loves her just as hard.
They have a very quick wedding and begin living their lives as husband and wife. Ally throws herself into her music and Jackson fully deeper into his drinking and drug addiction.
All hell breaks loose when Ally wins the grammy award as the best new artist and pulls her already drunk husband up the stage with her, just for him to embarrass her by wetting himself on stage.
After this, Jackson gets thrown into rehab to get himself back in shape.
Getting home, ally tries to make amends and get the ball rolling on Jackson's career again by trying to get him to go on tour with her, but when her manager refuses and confronts Jackson on how temporary he is in Ally's life, Jackson realizes he's a goner and takes his life.
This movie is as dramatic as drama gets.
The love of ally and Jackson is one that can be seen and felt even when it seemed like it just had to be coming to an end what you learn from this movie goes beyond just the end of a fairytale romance, but the existence of true love and the strength it carries.
This is one movie that made me cry. and it's one I don't mind watching over and over again.
