If you're a lover of sci-fi movies, then here's one you just can't miss.
Outside the Wire is a 2021 Netflix release starring Anthony Mackie who doubles as the producer, Damson Idris, Emily Beecham, Pilou Asbaek and Michael Kelly.
The movie starts off with the drone pilot Harp, played by Damson Idris who fires a missile on some ground troops, killing 2 soldiers but saving the lives of 38 others.
Harp acted against orders and although he claimed he was right in his actions, he was punished by being assigned to Captain Leo, played by Anthony Mackie who is an advanced super soldier masking as a captain.
For their first mission, Harp and Leo are sent to recover missile codes that a cold war criminal called Victor Koval had been trying to get in order to launch missiles to some parts of the world.
I would hate to spoil the movie for you so I'll just give a rundown of a few details of the movie to whet your appetite into watching it on Netflix if you haven't already.
Harp, is considered an under-experienced soldier who spends his time fighting above the sky without much on-ground combat experience. Captain Leo selects Harp because he considers him an easily manipulative human who has his own will that can be altered by a cause that would appeal to his conscience.
Leo uses his strengths and weaknesses against him, leading Harp into a tricky situation that he has to get himself out of in time or face the consequence of losing his life and his position in the army.
This movie is packed with a lot of violence and bloodshed. Not exactly my preference but they did a good job with the graphics and not expecting so much out of the future as other futuristic movies do.
