Joel Barish played by Jim Carry ( The Mask, Ace Ventura) is a shy and calm character which Jim exactly is the opposite. And Clementine portrayed by Kate Winslate is a rather Funky “walking with the wind” type character.
With Jim Carey you can never ask for a performance rather than his cheesy oily “Dumb and Dumber” comedy that he always plays. But he played Joel like a natural proving a point that he can act. Though most of the credit goes to Michel Gondry for his ability to make Jim give an Oscar worthy performance. Now to come to the star of this movie Kaufman wrote a story rather euphoric in its simplicity. If you ask why the dialogues used in this movie are so silly, childish and simple the answer would be to create emotions in you mind but you will not know the reason why..

It was like an experiment with the viewers in an attempt to recreate memory loss which was the sci-fie part in the movie and ended not with a bang but with nothing. When the movie ends you will feel nothing but will be left satisfied like grandmas cookies.
