Well, I just realized I'd never shared a movie I saw a while ago called Space Cadet. I checked because I recently stumbled across it again while browsing the Amazon Prime Video catalog.
Bueno, me acabo de dar cuenta de que nunca había compartido una película que vi hace tiempo y se llama Space Cadet. Y revisé porque, recientemente, viendo el catálogo de Amazon Prime Video, me volví a encontrar con esta película.
I put it on as background noise or something, since I ended up watching it again. As a friend says, watching a movie a second time makes you notice things you missed the first time, or that you'd simply forgotten because it had been two years since I saw it. Anyway, I checked because I wanted to be sure I wasn't going to rewatch it, and it turns out I hadn't.
La coloqué para tenerla de “ruido blanco” o algo así, ya que la terminé viendo, porque, como dice un amigo, ver una película por segunda vez te hace notar algunas cosas que no viste la primera vez, o que simplemente ya había olvidado porque ya habían pasado 2 años desde que la vi. Bueno, revisé porque quería estar segura de que esta no la iba a repetir y resulta que no lo había hecho.
This film, directed by Liz W. Garcia and starring Emma Watson as Rex Simpson, tells the story of a woman who, despite never having pursued her dreams of going to space, never stopped dreaming about it. One day, with an epiphany, she decides to go for it, though she soon realizes how difficult it can be. She makes the mistake of falsifying her work survey, and is discovered just as she's about to achieve her goal.
Pues esta película está dirigida por Liz W. Garcia y protagonizada por Emma Watson como “Rex Simpson”, una mujer que, a pesar de que nunca había seguido sus sueños de ir al espacio, nunca dejó de soñarlo. Por lo que un día, con una “epifanía”, decidió seguirlo, aunque se da cuenta de lo difícil que puede llegar a ser, pues esta toma la equivocada decisión de maquillar su encuesta de trabajo, por lo que es descubierta en un punto en el que casi está por lograr su cometido.
Fortunately, she does eventually achieve her goal, obviously, since here we see how she, with naivety and curiosity, manages to obtain the knowledge that makes her worthy of going to space, and thus she does fulfill her dream.
Esta, por fortuna, al final sí logra su meta, obviamente, ya que aquí logramos ver cómo esta, con ingenuidad y con curiosidad, logra obtener el conocimiento que la lleva a ser alguien merecedor de ir al espacio, y así ella, pues, sí cumple su sueño.
With some movies, I've come to the conclusion that they're just Sunday afternoon flicks, and this is one of them. A movie to enjoy at home and have a good laugh is always welcome, and this is one of those. It gets a rating because it's genuinely a good movie—not the best of that year, but very entertaining.
Con algunas películas llego a la conclusión de que son pelis domingueras y esta es una de ellas. Una película para disfrutar en casa y reírte un rato jamás estará de más, y esta es una de ellas. Califica porque es verdaderamente una película buena, no la mejor de aquel año, pero sí muy entretenida.
This is interesting because the patriotism is very evident throughout the film. And by this I mean that it was released on July 4, 2024, and what better way to celebrate an American anniversary than with a space movie? They are very proud of that theme, given their obvious achievements, such as the moon landing, which caused euphoria worldwide, although for some reason it was just a fleeting event that wasn't discussed much further. But as far as we know, it brought further progress for the planet.
Esta es interesante porque se nota mucho el patriotismo en cada parte de la película. Y con esto me refiero a que esta fue estrenada el pasado 4 de julio de 2024, y qué mejor manera de celebrar un aniversario de Estados Unidos que con una película del espacio. A ellos los enorgullece demasiado ese tema, dado que es muy obvio que han dado con muchos logros, como el pasado viaje a la luna que causó euforia en todo el mundo, aunque por algún motivo solo fue algo pasajero de lo que no se habló más, pero hasta donde se sabe, trajo más avances para el planeta.
