This is a Netflix series that I have been watching on and off for the past few months. It is about the job of 2 FBI detectives and 1 psychologist. They work together on a new unit to improve the understanding of the different types of criminal minds. They want to improve the capabilities of their agency when it comes to criminal profiling.
The 2 detectives had very humble beginnings, finding the resource to finance the operations was a challenge, and not everyone was taking their efforts seriously. It was the younger detective that had the bigger entrepreneurial spirit, but both of them made a good team with the older one leveraging his bigger experience and wisdom.
Their investigation was mainly going to interview the prisoners and recording the conversations. These dialogues are sometimes quite brutal and this is mostly what discouraged to binge-watch this show. The character are always talking about the potential explanation for the disturbing behaviors of the criminals, and I believe these conversations can be intriguing for people interested in the psychological analysis of dark minds. But having 10 episodes with these talks seems like too much for me.
The 2 detectives sometimes even helped to solve current crimes by using their understanding of criminal psychology. Both lead actors did a good job with their characters, and the older one is the typical cop detective you can find in other crime movies/series.
Not every criminal was easy to talk to, so a lot of the time, especially when visiting a new criminal, we will see how these 2 detectives try to develop some kind of confidence between the criminal and them. At some point, they will be talking about really horrible stuff but in a very casual way. Which makes it even more disturbing.
If you are interested in this type of psychological dialogues you might enjoy this series. I think it would have been a better idea to create a 2-hour movie about this topic instead of a series, besides the series also feel slow at times.

- Talking so many disturbing topics with crazy people can get boresome.
