Short summary

One more post than last month and 81 additional comments, although text output for comments overall was down.

Previously, an Engagement League post would receive the most resteems and so it's nice to see a 'one-off' post being shared the most last month.

New this month is an 'interaction count' showing who you have commented to the most, and who has returned the favour to you the most. Hello again @meesterboom :)

Fewer downvotes in June than previously, and three of the five going to one account who seems to gone rogue recently. I suspect this total will rise following the EIP - for everyone I hope.

Month Author V Author SBD Author SP Cur V Cur SP
April 1372473 239 685.46 292173 145
May 1936387 349 972 278445 139
June 1721038 345 865 222120 112

In May I called OCDB to the majority of my posts but slacked off a little on that in June - at least as far as the amount sent to the service, and this as always is skewing rewards received.

It will be interesting to see how July stands up as it is likely that there will be around 3 weeks of numbers to collate following the go-live of HF21. The hope is that curation rewards will increase, but this is not a given seeing as the reverse auction window will be reduced to just one minute (from 15 minutes) and thus making vote timings somewhat of a lottery - I think.

As you can see from the below my CR is on a downtrend at present. Pants.

Let me know in the comments if you would like a report for June 2019 and/or a CR chart for this year, have a good day!

seems interesting can you make me one too please :)

  • @mytechtrail(64)· 2606d

I would like to see both, when you have some free time. Do you run your code against your own node? Have you published the code anywhere?

I would like to learn how to do this type of coding myself, I have a little bit of MYSQL experience and am learning Python. I have been wondering if all the interesting data query type things people are doing is directly against a node or if they have there own copy of the blockchain (node etc).

I am My Technology Trail #0074 on Discord if you would prefer to take this off this post. I do not spend alot of time online but do check in regularly.

Cool @abh12345!! bleh, slam mine against the wall to see what sticks.

It never gets boring, trying to enthuse & amuse the audience with my extremely low performance and poor results.

I may not want to see my June report as it will remind of the great views of the Mediterranean I got while stuck now at the office to pay for it all! However, a Curation Rewards chart could be interesting to see if my autovote setups were efficient or not. Thanks!

    Would be interesting to know...

  • @markkujantunen(77)· 2614d

The one minute reverse auction window will make curation rewards a lottery indeed. Things like network delay alone can waste seconds or more causing the order of votes to be somewhat random. The block processing time is approximately three seconds, which means that there will be about 20 time slots in which to upvote. I wonder if the system uses time information any more precise than that.

Propably the most profitable way to do curation in the future will be to have a bot upvote everything from one's favourite authors immediately or almost immediately and later manually correct those upvotes that went to content that did not prove to be too popular or those one deemed not worthy of an upvote at least the size given (the altruistically motivated case).

  • @meesterboom(81)· 2614d

Ha, look at all them comments to and fro!! :0)
