This year, there's a category for "Social Network of the Year," and Steemit is in the running. Not only is it in the running, it's #3 out of quite a long list of contenders, just below Twitter!

PLEASE MAKE A NEW POST ABOUT THIS!!!: You can vote on all of your phones and laptops and PCs and tablets ! There is no IP environment check. But it probably does not work if you have a static IP (which most people don't have). If you have static IP, you can connect to a free WLAN or go to a friend to vote from your phone!

I see people saying 'more exposure can't hurt', but I say it can. If we keep rounding up the 'community' to blindly vote on meaningless polls that ultimately lead to nothing, and accurately represent nothing (Steemit is the social network of 2019? Really?), we risk tiring motivation.

I've seen this rounding up of people over and over again to get first place in basically nothing for their apathetic votes. We need something exciting and meaningful that can show there's an actual difference that can be made from our actions. This... is not such a thing.

bettered our lives , lol .. well i did get a bit of focus back but i don't think my head is in the right place yet ... some fuzzy pockets would help a lot ...

I got bad news for hackernoon though, even if i am not the one to abuse it :

if i wanted to i could vote from about 50 different i.p. addresses ... someone forgot to hack that bit out ... :/ yet still Zuck hasnt formed an army of bots to stay on top ... Hm, well hm ... (if it goes by I.P. that is , not by easy-to-delete-cookie) but i dont wanna be the spoilsport before i get the evil eye again. It's a dirty bit, i know, even if you require registration, you can get 50 accounts in no time all the same ... the most secure options would probably be hardware like yubikey (but if you got clout you can buy a truckload of those too) or phonenumber (where same clout applies ..)

... it's good to see it on top though :) let's hope everyone meant that, that would be an actual good sign

hmmm .... it certainly is the only one that keeps me busy lately but do you really think it should be voted ichiban yet ? have you seen the lack of cohesion in the comments on the fortune-50 posts ? ..

We won every mass competition, the minnows never ceased to support this blockchain but every time we were disappointed regarding the results vs the potential of this blockchain. I hope things will change in the future, I will keep believing in steem as long as I could.
