How to Attract 200 Users per Day Under the Nose of Steemcleaners 如何放心地发垃圾评论 💻

Today I have a friendly talk with Ms. @patrice, a member of @steemcleaners, about sending comments to other Steemit users with a robot. I have this question, because I detected a strange behavior of a Steemit user with the reputation of 69. That user sends out one comments every minute and many comments are exactly same. I believe it's spam. However, Ms. @patrice, who knows Mr. firepower (I am not sure whether they are friends), doesn't think it's spam.

According to Ms. @patrice, sending comments with robot is grey area and @steemcleaners usually doesn't flag it. Because @steemcleaners have other high priority tasks, my understanding is that sending 200 comments to other users every day with a robot can be tolerated by @steemcleaners. Actually, a former member of @steemcleaners is doing the similar thing: sending out more than 100 comments to users and many of these comments are exactly same.

It's easy to write a robot to do this. For the tutorial about the robot, please read my post.

The robot just selects a relatively new post every minute and write a random comment to that post. The comments can be the combination of three short phrases, for example:

Great post! I love your work! Keep Steeming!
I love your work! Hope to see more from you! Thanks for sharing!

If you have 20 different phrases, you will have 20x19x18 = 6,840 combinations. If you send 200 comments each day, you will not repeat your comment for more than 1 month.

If you have 40 different phrases, you will have 40x39x38 = 58,280 combinations. If you send 200 comment each day, you will not repeat your comment for 10 months.

If you also use 2-phrase combination and 4-phrase combination, your comments will be more deceptive, and you won't repeat your comment for 30 years.

To make your comments more attractive, your robot can also check the tags of the posts. If it includes the tag of 'photography', you can replace one phrase with 'Fantastic photo!'. If it has tag of 'food', you can use 'Yummy!' or 'Mouth watering!'.

It's easy, right?

Better than that, you can consider to upvote the user after the comment. You can upvote 0.01%. After 200 upvotes, your VP (Voting Power) almost not changed. Is it great? It's much better than some people who just send you random comment and never upvote you.

机器人可以这样做：每分钟找个新帖子然后发评论，每个评论由三个短句组成，比如：

好棒！多发啊！真牛！
太喜欢你的贴了！多谢分享！多谢！

如果你有20个短句，你就可以有20x19x18 = 6,840种组合。每天发两百条，可以一个月不重复。

如果你有40个短句，就有40x39x38 = 58,280种组合。每天两百条，十个月都不会重复。

如果你再加上两个短句的组合和四个短句的组合，你的留言就更加有欺骗性，而且三十年都不会重复。

为了更有欺骗性，你的机器人还可以查看帖子的tag。如果tag有photography，你可以把其中一个短句换成"好照片！"。如果tag有food，你可以换成"好吃！"或者"流口水了！"。

是不是很棒？

如果你发完评论之后再点个赞就更好了。也不要多点，一个0.01%的赞就行，总比有些人评论完不点赞好得多。这样200个赞点完以后，你的点赞能量VP几乎都不变，是不是很好？

But seriously, informative.

Myself, I'm more worried about unjustified flagging (trolling) rather than unjustified commenting (spamming). The former is an abuse of already held power that harms the community, the latter is done by people who have no power usually and do it in order to attain it, so by definition they're probably harmless right now. In fact I just made a post about flagging, cos some accounts of people I know almost got destroyed recently.

Plus, there's so many places to turn to when there's spamming, like steemcleaners and sherlockholmes etc., whereas there's no place to turn when it comes to trolls, you have to rely on having friends with big SP, to at least counteract their downvotes.

Bot & Copy/Paste comments: If you don't like it - flag it. If it flags back let us know. If you're afraid of being flagged back - report it. We'll notify the curator or comment and maybe downvote a comment or two.

The role of @steemcleaners in most cases here is to warn the user and maybe flag a couple of comments to get the users attention.

We all know spam comments are annoying and a source of block chain bloat. Unless they are high volume or are followed by a voting trail just to drain the reward pool they are more annoying than harmful.

Users posting plagiarism, copy/paste, identity theft/deception, high frequency spam or multiple account abuse is a bigger priority.
