SteemPeak Release - Update v1.14.15 - Improved NSFW Setting and 2 New Tribes

A new version of SteemPeak is now available. With this release we have 2 new tribes and some new options to configure how NSFW contents are displayed (or not) on SteemPeak. As always I'll try to do a small recap on these features and the other improvements included in this release, hopefully without forgetting anything important ;)

1. Improved NSFW setting

Starting with this release there are now 3 options available:

Hide: posts and tribes tagged as NSFW are completely hidden. From now on this will be the default setting for all new users and when you are not logged in.
Click to Show: The post are display but the preview is hidden. The user can click to reveal the post content
Show: The content is always shown.

Also it's now possible to 'lock' the NSFW to hide and store this setting directly in your account profile metadata. This ensure that to 'unlock' this setting the user must be able to sign a transaction with the active key. This should be especially useful for parents that create accounts for children and give them only the posting key.

2. Two new tribes

We added two new tribes: SonicGroove and DPorn.

3. Display post URL in pop-out preview panel

I finally found the time to rework how the post pop-out panel is handled and now the post URL is displayed also when you open the post preview. Maybe it is not clear from the description but an image can help here :D

4. Show STEEM payout in Tribes pages

In the tribe page now the STEEM payout is shown near the TOKEN payout. This is a suggestion by @themarkymark ;)

5. Autoplay 3Speak videos when you open the post

3Speak has recently updated the embedded video player and now when you open a post with a 3Speak video it will automatically start.

Other than the major changes described above there are other small fixes and improvements. This is the full list:

- Improved NSFW setting
- Two new tribes: SonicGroove and DPorn
- Display post URL in pop-out preview panel
- Show STEEM payout in Tribes pages
- Autoplay 3Speak videos when you open the post
- Disable autocorrection and capitalization on login
- Fix discord link in About page
- Hide SE token in Wallet if balance and stake are 0
- Improve mobile compact layout when the tag name is really long
- As always some minor bugfixes and improvements

Displaying the URL is a welcome improvement for me. That’s one thing that annoyed me more than somewhat.

Is there a mobile app, or are you talking about viewing the website in a mobile browser?

I believe This change isnt just for parents to be happy with steem we are also hopeful (though there is no guarantee) that we will be viewed more favorably by system administrators whose job it is to block (or not) websites on their networks for work, schools, libraries and maybe even some countries etc. Unless logged in they should see a lot less issues that would cause us to be blocked.

If they dig deeper they can see they can instead block the image/video repositories, and generally that's what we have thankfully seen is steempeak has not been blocked so we are just thinking ahead. ... in the end we hope we can work with them to resolve any issues and let our users use our site on their network. Their internet source is their property their network and they get to decide but we hope they talk to us first and we can work through it. We are aimed at popular content creators in the long run so often those fans are young and using wifi they didnt pay for that has rules.

But also it's more than parents and system admins... there's just a lot of people who want all 3 of these options and it solves all the scenarios nicely we believe. Love to know if it solves any issues you have and if you'd now give your kid an account with just the posting key?

Good catch about parents lock with active key on hiding NTFW for children accounts! Although I'm pretty sure most kids already know more than parents do, when they are pretty young. :)

I'd like to suggest a little extra information on the voting bar: the current voting power, which is very useful whenever you cast any vote, and I see the condenser also has it now.

I think the VP for Steem should always be included, and, if the user is browsing through a tribe's posts, then the VP for that tribe's token would be really useful too.

One could vote on more than two tokens, if there are multiple tags included for tokens that the account has staked in, but unless you put them in a tooltip window, like the pending payout, it could be too much information to go over at a glance, and user needs a clean voting bar, so he / she can vote easily.
