#Due verso l'Alhambra

For us Italians, during the holiday abroad, there are two missions:

  • Being able to speak our language hoping to be understood and gesticulate as little as possible;

    • Take a good coffee in the morning if possible! Here, in Granada it is a bit difficult to find bars open very early in the morning and short coffee is a mirage. So with a lot of caffeine in the body we go to the Alhambra ... The road crosses a public park where in summer, with temperatures over 40 degrees, you can find refreshment.


Per noi italiani,durante la vacanza all'estero,ci sono due missioni:

  • Riuscire a parlare la nostra lingua sperando di essere capiti e gesticolare il meno possibile;

    • Prendere un buon caffè al mattino se possibile! Ecco,a Granada è un po' difficile trovare bar aperti la mattina molto presto e il caffè corto è un miraggio. Così con molta caffeina in corpo andiamo verso l'Alhambra...La strada attraversa un parco pubblico dove d'estate,con temperature oltre i 40 gradi,si può trovare ristoro.

Perhaps the civic sense is also attention to detail for the well-being of the citizen ...

No climb or descent!

While waiting to enter the Fortress, you can visit the Palace of Charles V, a Renaissance building, which has now become a museum of contemporary art, and we must admit that the reference to Rome was very strong !!

#ITA Nell'attesa di entrare nella Fortezza è possibile visitare il Palazzo di Carlo V,edificio rinascimentale,divenuto oggi museo di arte contemporanea;dobbiamo ammettere che il richiamo a Roma è stato fortissimo!!

The Red One kidnaps! #ITA La Rossa rapisce!


Red like its walls and red like the beard of Nazar, founder of the Nasrid dynasty and this fortress. The Alhambra was enlarged over time and welcomed every religion and every art: the Arab one initially, where the inlays create a mantra written in the marble, the Christian one with the soft and luxurious Baroque and the Renaissance solemnity. I could tell you about the history of this fortress but for this there is "Wikipedia", I want to convey only the emotion of how enveloping every detail is.


Rossa come le sue mura e rossa come la barba di Nazar,fondatore della dinastia dei Nasridi e di questa fortezza.L'Alhambra fu ampliata nel tempo e accolse ogni religione ed ogni arte:quella araba inizialmente,dove gli intarsi creano un mantra scritto nel marmo;quella cristiana con il morbido e sfarzoso barocco e il solenne rinascimentale. Potrei parlarvi della storia di questa fortezza ma per questo c'è "Wikipedia" ;io voglio trasmettere solo l'emozione di quanto sia avvolgente ogni dettaglio.

#ITA L'aspetto fortemente militare che mostrava all'esterno e la delicatezza degli intarsi all'interno


Recognized as a UNESCO heritage site in 1984, we can today experience it and admire it but the greatest merit is of those men who over the centuries have had the sensitivity to preserve this splendor, where the Catholic Monarchs, Charles V, writers and those who have it inhabited and treated as their own home and knew how to preserve human value before affirming their beliefs.


Riconosciuta come patrimonio dell'Unesco nel 1984,possiamo oggi viverla e ammirarla ma il più grande merito è di quegli uomini che nei secoli hanno avuto la sensibilità di preservare tale splendore;dove i Re Cattolici ,Carlo V,scrittori e coloro che l'hanno abitata e trattata come propria casa e hanno saputo custodire il valore umano prima dell'affermazione del proprio credo.

Oh no ... it's not a photomontage! It's the ability to respect oneself by integrating art. Visiting the Alhambra means getting closer to a culture that today's society teaches us to keep away ... #ITA Eh no...non è un fotomontaggio!E' la capacità di rispettarsi integrando l'arte. Visitare l'Alhambra significa avvicinarsi ad una cultura che la società di oggi ci insegna a tenere lontano...
