Cant believe your gone so suddenly Cant hold back the tears So many things left unsaid. You did the best any father could do, better than your own. You where my father my daddy my hero. I didn't get the chance to get to know him that well, but in the little time I got to interact with him though comments on our posts, I realized that here was a complex and interesting person; Wales.

I'd first seen him chatting in the chat channel and I was amused at the conversation going on there. I didn't dare interrupt - it was just flowing and I enjoyed watching and chuckling to myself.

Couldn't believe the news when I saw it this morning, and now that I'm here, I offer my sincere condolences and sympathy to those who knew him well and those who love him. He and the fruits of his labor will be sorely missed.

RIP, my new friend Wales.

Wales was my friend. I don't remember how we got talking but I know it was through one of his posts. Even her the little payouts he always got, he just kept on writing. I realised soon that Wales did it for the fun anyways. I had to include him in my Ginabot notifications and I curated his posts with an account whenever I got the chance. I have been away for a long time but last month, I signed in to read one of his posts "I am the silverness". It just kept ringing in my head and I had to read it again. It's not something I do everytime.

You were a good man, Wales. This news broke me. You will be missed by everyone you've been in contact with.

I am so sorry for your loss - I still am processing it all. I loved his writing and his amazing photography and will miss him and his quirky comments. His passing is something we will all feel with great sadness.

Just know that your father will be missed terribly, especially anyone wandering about in the middle of the night. He was good company to those who don't sleep and you never had to worry where you stood with him.

A straight shooter and a gifted writer whose thoughts were above my pay grade some days. But, he was also down to earth and his tea and toast or nap time were just a small part of who he was.

I can only offer my heartfelt condolences, losing a parent is so very profound.

I never knew you were his son. We chatted quite a bit when @wales first joined what was then the MAP community. He often struck me as Steem's own Samuel Beckett! The wealth of comments already on this post are a testament to an impact far beyond post rewards. Take care.

Wales will defintely be missed 😥 I knew him mostly as a member of PowerHouseCreatives, where he frequented the chats and kept charmed us with his simplicity and philosophical musings, a true dichotomy of his wonderful character. One moment he would be telling us about the toast and tea he was having for breakfast and then post something so deep it would leave us scratching our heads until we gathered the magnitude of what he was saying. He was poetic, with a complexity of imagery that was difficult to grasp at times, but full of meaning forethought. One of my favorites of all his writings was the one titled: Where old beat-up suitcases go to die and I will always recall that piece when I think of him.

Dear @trystan while I was out Christmas shopping this message came in and just now I opened it and read the devistating news. First I want to condolence you and all the loved ones around your dad. A man I came to know many months ago always in for a chat in our Powerhousecreatives home. Both loving and fierce about all the aspects of life both on and offline. I remember the photo camera we raised so he could do the photo blogs. I remember the .quote-bot-convos in the weeee hours of the night. I am glad we got to talk Friday when the first poll came in and were counting down. And we asked him to come to voice chat yesterday! Our server moments are here so I will read some off them back with a glass of wine, and I will say cheers to the nearest star I see and just remember the icon we lost. My and Steemits second icon this year unfortunately , our server and the platform will never be the same and strenght will be needed! Rest me to say that if you ever need a helping steemit hand just let me know and I will be there just because a son of @wales must be a great person to. A big hug from The Netherlands Britt

Hi @trystan, I am so very sorry to hear of this news. I always enjoyed talking to @wales when I had the opportunity. He always had some very good things to say. I will remember my very last interactive conversation with him; he had asked me to tell him a story, which I did, about a dog named Lucky. His reply was very simple and poignant, and it made me happy to read: "I like Lucky."

I will miss him too.

In my short time in the community, Wales was one of the people I most talked with and learned from. His cryptic writing was always filled with wisdom as well as creative dimensions that brought us out of linear thought. I hope that as you say he has found liberation and is now enjoying beyond this earthly realm.
