We must love vegetables, they are defenseless, good, and immobile beings that provide us with their wonderful nutrients and antioxidants as food, keeping our skin beautiful by preserving our precious youth for longer 😘😘. They are always there for us and many treat them in very derogatory ways, I do not like that unpleasant attitude in humans, looking at the rest of species as if they were inferior.... for now, vegetables remain still, submissive before the power of our knife and fangs, but we do not know for how much longer they will endure us 🍅🍅
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes of 1978 is the film that kicks off a whole wide and successful niche franchise, whether you want to believe it or not haha 🙃🙃.... the movie raises an eccentric debate, with a comical and absurd yet valid approach on the kitchen table, what would happen if tomatoes rebel against us.... 🤔🤔
People think that Artificial Intelligence will dominate us, they say this and that.... but they forget about the silent enemy that we cultivate in agricultural concentration camps, metaphorically speaking, those who sooner or later could rebel and extinguish us

I often read complaints about the lack of creativity in stories and how they just recycle each other—valid thoughts that, however, lack criteria when those same criticisms are applied to stories that are as fresh as a good, bright red tomato 🍅🍅
Here is the trailer for this movie with a premise that I highly doubt you have ever seen before, unless you are very old-school like me. The synopsis: Killer Tomatoes are the ones eating us now 😵😵
My critique of this specific movie is quite extensive—in fact, I am going to tear it apart a bit further down in my review—BUT as a FRANCHISE, IT IS GREAT. I liked the rest of the movies, especially the second one, and I will review each one in this community in due time, so stay tuned 😉😉
When it comes to this movie on its own, my invitation is for you to enjoy the Franchise instead, because I highly doubt you will like this first entry that starts the story. For me, it's a 33 out of 100 because, as a film, it is a very Rotten Tomato 🤢🤢
What I salvage the most from it is its cult classic status; in that regard, I definitely recommend it. You would be watching "schlock cinema" history, so to speak—senseless ideas that somehow got a budget to be made and managed to stay in the hearts of an audience that appreciates the exotic 🥹🥹👍🏻

This film is a poorly executed Naked Gun—bad script, intentionally over-the-top acting, but even knowing that, it reached a point where I just didn't want to watch them. Most of the jokes are bad, and the tomatoes don't even have faces 🫠🫠
On the flip side of that, it has good, catchy music. In fact, I think something that helped this film stick around and be loved in the minds of that generation was "The Killer Tomatoes Song haha 🤩🤩
That song was actually really good—pay attention to it if you dare to watch the film. Most of its jokes are bad, but the ones I did like made me laugh my head off, haha. The Secret Agent Tomato costume..... HILARIOUS 😂😂
We often drown ourselves looking for deep reflections in the stories we watch, and we condemn movies by placing a weight on them that is too cruel, unfair, and unnecessary. Sometimes we want too much out of things; it's so much so that we end up showing that affection in very toxic ways. I notice this in various franchises like Star Wars, Marvel, and DC, among others, where their own supposed fans become the executioners of anything that gets released, whether it is objectively positive or not.
I appreciate this movie as the Ugliest Tomato in the Franchise that it is. Its relevance lies in its original idea, which seasoned future installments like a good ketchup sauce 🥫🥫
I dedicate each and every one of my posts and videos to my little dog named princess, we called her chiquito, she is no longer with us but from heaven she will see that her existence was valuable and the most beautiful thing that will exist in my heart and soul.
