Its attractive title made me watch this film of the psychological suspense genre and with the additional of erotic, Elle is a film based on the novel Oh... by Philippe Djian, which tells the story of a business woman Michèle who is raped in her house and she decides not to call the police and pretend nothing happened.
The rape is the opening scene and the one that engages the audience, it is raw, strong and violent, the actors involved convey their emotions and the direction in the frames of the scene makes you feel the victim and also the victimizer. As I watched in amazement as this film began, my thoughts were confused. I thought it was a situation where the parties agreed and allowed it. For a moment I thought the woman was enjoying it, but as the action progressed I realized it had been rape.
This woman is a businesswoman and making a complaint of this kind should not be easy for any woman, let alone someone with money. Elle's character is a strong, dominant and arrogant woman. To assume that someone had abused her would be more shameful than the rape itself. Deep down I understood her, but it also contradicted her, because if she had money and fame she could find the abuser and make him pay for his crime, something deeper made her keep quiet.

La violación es la escena inicial y la que engancha a la audiencia, es cruda, fuerte y violenta, los actores involucrados transmiten sus emociones y la dirección en los cuadros de la escena te hace sentir la víctima y también el victimario. Mientras veía con asombro cómo inició esta película, mis pensamientos se confundieron. Pensé que era una situación donde las partes estaban de acuerdo y lo permitían. Por un momento pensé que la mujer lo estaba disfrutando, pero al avanzar la acción me di cuenta de que había sido una violación.
Esta mujer es una empresaria y hacer una denuncia de este tipo no debe ser fácil para ninguna mujer, menos para alguien con dinero. El personaje de Elle es una mujer fuerte, dominante y arrogante. Asumir que alguien la había abusado sería vergonzoso más que la misma violación. En el fondo la entendí, pero también la contradecía, ya que si tenía dinero y fama podría encontrar al abusador y hacerlo pagar por su delito, algo más profundo la hacía quedarse callada.

Between the initial rape scene and the attempted rape, I felt that the film had lost its plot, it even seemed boring to me, in this part the story focused on her son and the problems with her partner, then they return to the personal life of the main character “Elle” and show how her sex life was, being a lover of her best friend's husband, to later leave him for her neighbor who was also a married man.
Elle is a mature woman, in her later years, lonely and in search of emotions, but tormented by her past and recent harassment. The closing of the movie was good because it surprises you after being suspicious of all the men around her, let's say I give it a rating of 6.5 for having a good beginning and a good ending, for the characters that I thought were well developed and for the actors and direction. If you have nothing else to watch, it's an option, but I don't recommend it if you don't like this genre.

Elle es una mujer madura, entrada en años, solitaria y en busca de emociones, pero atormentada por su pasado y el acoso reciente. El cierre de la película estuvo bueno porque te sorprende después de sospechar de todos los hombres que la rodeaban, digamos que le doy una valoración de 6.5 por tener un buen comienzo y un buen final, por los personajes que me parecieron bien desarrollados y por los actores y la dirección. Si no tienes más nada que ver, es una opción, pero no la recomiendo si este género no te gusta.
