  1. JoJo's Bizarre Adventures (Phantom Blood): Let's Meet the First JoJo, Jonathan Joestar!!!! <3@harulovesanime2024d

What's up otaku(s)??!!! It's been ages, but there are a lot of anime that I want to talk about these days, so I'll be writing a lot!!! To start with, I recently finished the first season of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The first season is actually divided into two parts: (1) Phantom Blood and (2) Battle Tendency.
For this post, let's focus on the first part which is JoJo's Bizarre Adventures: Phantom Blood.

Basically, Phantom Blood started with George Joestar (JoJo's father) adopting an orphan called Dio as gratitude for his father's "help". George thought Dio's father saved his life, and so when he died George took Dio into his care.
George has a son who is Jonathan Joestar, better known as JoJo.

If I am to describe Jonathan Joestar, it would be a "GENTLEMAN". He is so naive and with a heart of gold. He's the typical gentleman and noble that girls would swoon over. What I like about him is being true to his principles in life. He firmly lives what he believes in. He's so kind hearted that even if he's bullied and such, he still stands up with his head up and his feet on the ground. He's also intelligent and witty. He's trying to study an ancient mask which later on got into Dio's hands.

Dio, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of Jonathan. He's greedy and selfish. He wanted to become the heir of the Joestars, so he tried to make Jonathan's life a living hell and even tried to get rid of him. He killed Jonathan's dog, took away Jonathan's first love from him. He literally took everything away from Jonathan.

When Dio got ahold of the mask which gave him tremendous power and transformed him into a vampire, Jonathan set foot to find and fight him. Along the way, he met and got assistance from Zeppeli and Speedwagon. They became his trusted friends. Zeppeli trained him on how to use and control his "hamon", basically the force which can defeat the vampires and Dio.
They went on crazy adventures together and fought the evil together. Well, technically, it was just JoJo and Zeppeli... Speedwagon was like a narrator. haha It's kind of interesting how he narrates everything that's happening in the series. If you understand Japanese and don't look at the screen, you can imagine what's happening because of Speedwagon's narration. Well, he will eventually play a big part on this series. ;)

These three above appeared briefly in the series. They're Zeppeli's friends and master. They're all hamon users who helped JoJo in defeating Dio. One of them, the long haired one, Straizo, will play a vital role in the future. And I didn't expect that to happen.
Phantom Blood ended quite tragically... Before watching this series, I didn't have any idea about JoJo and I thought that there's just one JoJo for the entire series. I thought wrong. There are a lot of JoJo which comes from the same bloodline. So far, I've met two of them. One of course, is Jonathan... and the other one, I'll be introducing in my next post.

I Love JoJo's Unique Art Style!!!

One of my close friends told me that he once read JoJo's manga in the past, but dropped it because he didn't really like the art style. I was kind of shocked because even though the art style is quite unique, it's kind of attractive for me. I know that the characters themselves are bizarre and eccentric. They have there weird poses every time they speak or do something, but I find it charming. *haha* Maybe it's just me, but I really enjoyed the first season. :) There are several heartbreaking scenes, though.
On my next JoJo-related post, I'll be talking about the second part of the first season. I'll be updating myself with the later seasons, so I can share my thoughts on them as well. Please look forward to reading them. :)
