   Hello, my movie buffs, I hope you are doing very well, I am always looking for animated movies that have a nice story to tell, and are colorful, to watch with my little Micaela, today I want to talk to you about an animated Netflix movie that has left us all enchanted, it is about: the Magician's Elephant, it is a film with a special story, very beautiful, and full of magic, I will give you a brief summary, and I will tell you my opinion.

   

   The Elephant and the Magician is a beautiful story about Peter, an orphan boy, who lives with an old soldier in a small town, where for several years everything was beautiful and full of color, until the war came, and everything Instead, the townspeople stopped believing, and sadness flooded that place, making it gray and desolate. Peter, despite all this, was a child with a lot of faith, he lost his family when he was very little, including his little sister, and although the old man told him over and over again that his little sister had died, Peter believed in his dreams, where he saw her constantly and he refused to believe that his little sister was dead, so he lived his days planning how he would do it. look for his sister.

   

   

   One day, Peter's life changed forever without him realizing it, he had an encounter with a fortune teller, to whom he asked how to get to his sister, and she answered, look for the Elephant, Peter was a little upset for that answer, because what that lady had told him did not make sense, but, the next day, without knowing how, a magician made an elephant appear in the town theater, and here begins the adventure of Peter who, upon finding out about that the elephant existed, he jumped for joy and believed with all his strength that the fortune teller was telling him the truth and that the elephant would help him find his little sister. A beautiful friendship arose between Peter and that elephant. Peter must complete some tasks to Being able to stay with the elephant and have her help him look for his little sister, between the two of them they will make the people of that town have hope again and believe in magic again.

   

   

   

   

   My opinion:

   Once again, Netflix brings us a colorful, fun, and beautiful story, full of magic, it is made for the whole family, it is very emotional, and it leaves us a good message, it lets us see that sometimes things that we believe are impossible can be achieved, If we are determined to do it and we believe in ourselves, I really liked how they reflect Peter's story and the love he feels for his little sister, despite having only known her for a few minutes in his childhood.

   I also found the connection between the child and the elephant incredible, as they show us the importance of animals, who also feel and love their families, they invite us to continue believing despite the circumstances, many to see magic in things only we need that, to believe.

   Hola, mis cinéfilos, espero que esten muy bien, siempre estoy buscando películas animadas que tengan una historia bonita que contar, y sean coloridas, para verlas con mi pequeña Micaela, hoy quiero hablarles sobre una película animada de Netflix que nos ha dejado a todos encantados, se trata de: la Elefanta del mago, es una película con una historia especial, muy hermosa, y llena de magia, les hago un breve resumen, y les cuento mi opinión.

   

   La Elefanta y el mago, es una hermosa historia sobre Peter, un niño huérfano, que vive con un anciano militar, en un pueblito, que desde hace varios años atrás todo era hermoso y lleno de color, hasta que llegó la guerra, y todo cambio, la gente del pueblo dejó de creer, y la tristeza inundó aquel lugar, haciéndolo gris, y desolado, Peter, a pesar de todo esto, era un niño con mucha fe, perdió a su familia cuando era muy pequeño, incluyendo a su hermanita menor, y aunque el anciano le repetía una y otra vez que su hermanita había muerto, Peter creía en sus sueños, donde la veía constantemente y se rehusaba a creer que su hermanita estuviera muerta, así que, vivía sus días planeando cómo haría para buscar a su hermana.

   

   

   Un día, la vida de Peter cambió para siempre sin el darse cuenta, tuvo un encuentro con una adivina, a la que le preguntó cómo llegar hasta su hermana, y esta le respondió, busca a la Elefanta, Peter estaba un poco molesto por aquella respuesta, pues lo que aquella señora le había dicho no tenía sentido, pero, al siguiente día, sin saber cómo, un mago hizo aparecer a una elefanta en el teatro del pueblo, y aquí comienza la aventura de Peter quien al enterarse de que la elefanta existía, saltó de alegría y creyó con toda sus fuerzas que aquella adivina le estaba diciendo la verdad y que la elefanta lo ayudaría a encontrar a su hermanita, entre Peter y aquella elefanta surgió una amistad hermosa, Peter deberá completar unas tareas para poder quedarse con la elefanta y que esta lo ayude a buscar a su hermanita, entre los dos lograran que las personas de aquel pueblo vuelvan a tener esperanza y vuelvan a creer en la magia.

   

   

   

   

   Mi opinión:

   Nuevamente Netflix nos trae una historia colorida, divertida, y hermosa, llena de magia, está hecha para toda la familia, es muy emotiva, y nos deja un buen mensaje, nos dejan ver que a veces las cosas que creemos imposibles se pueden lograr, si estamos decididos a hacerlo y creemos en nosotros, me gusto mucho como reflejan la historia de Peter y el amor que siente hacia su hermanita, a pesar de haberla conocido solo unos minutos en su infancia.

   También me pareció increíble esa conexión entre el niño y la elefanta, como nos muestran la importancia de los animales, que también sienten y aman a sus familias, nos invitan a seguir creyendo a pesar de las circunstancias, muchas para ver magia en las cosas solo necesitamos eso, creer.

   Si tienen niños, les aseguro que les va a encantar esta peli, si que los invito a verla, la verdad esta muy buena, y si ya la han visto me cuentan en los comentarios que tal les ha parecido.

   It seems that the more we immerse ourselves in scepticism, the more difficult it is for us to achieve our goal, which is why when I came across this film that Netflix recently released I was attracted to it, although at first what caught my attention was its adorable aesthetics, but I can assure you that its story is much more than that.

   Qué difícil es eso de creer y tener esperanza en los tiempos que vivimos hoy en día ¿no es así? y parece que mientras más nos sumergimos en el escepticismo, más nos cuesta lograr nuestro cometido, por esa razón cuando me encontré con esta película que estrenó Netflix recientemente me sentí atraída, aunque en un inicio lo que más llamó mi atención fue su estética adorable, pero puedo asegurar que su historia es mucho más que eso.

   

   Overview/Resumen

   Peter lives in a town that despite having had a wonderful past, full of magic and happiness, is now grey, drab and cold, all because it was once invaded and attacked by soldiers who left after-effects on the population. Peter lives with an old ex-soldier called Vilna who rescued him when he was little, although unfortunately he could do nothing for the boy's sister and his mother, who died giving birth to a girl.

   Peter vive en un pueblo que a pesar de haber tenido un pasado maravilloso, lleno de magia y felicidad, actualmente es gris, monótono y frío, todo esto debido a que en algún momento fue invadido y atacado por soldados que dejaron secuelas en la población. Peter vive con un anciano ex soldado llamado Vilna que lo rescató cuando era pequeño, aunque desafortunadamente no pudo hacer nada por la hermana del niño ni tampoco por su madre, que murió dando a luz a una niña.

   On one occasion when Vilna sent Peter to buy food, the boy decided to spend the coin paying a fortune teller who promised to give him answers, however, even though he has not asked any questions, the woman lets out a phrase that impresses him "She lives" this encourages him to tell his story to the fortune teller, he tells her that his mother and his little sister died in childbirth, although he has vague memories of having carried the baby in his arms, so without further ado he sets out to ask the question for which he paid, "How can I find her? and the seer only answers "Follow the elephant".

   En una ocasión en que Vilna envió a Peter a comprar comida, el muchacho decidió gastarse la moneda pagando una adivina que prometía darle respuestas, sin embargo, aún y cuando él no ha hecho ninguna pregunta, la mujer deja escapar una frase que lo impresiona "Ella vive" esto lo anima a contarle su historia a la vidente, le dice que su madre y su pequeña hermana murieron en el parto, aunque él tiene vagos recuerdos de haber cargado a la bebé en sus brazos, así que sin más se dispone a hacer la pregunta por la cual pagó ¿Cómo puedo encontrarla? y la vidente solo responde "Sigue a la elefante"

   While all this is going on, a magician tries to perform tricks in front of a bored audience, but for some reason, although his magic is real, he fails to amaze anyone and therefore fails, but when he concentrates hard enough, he manages to summon an elephant that unfortunately falls on an old woman, who gets very angry and sends him to prison. The king and the countess don't know what to do with the animal, but seeing the affinity that had been born between Peter and the elephant they decide to appoint him as her caretaker, however, the king warns Peter that if he wants to stay with her he must perform three very difficult tasks, but although Peter believes that he needs the elephant to get to his sister (according to the seer) although in the end the boy manages to fulfill all the tasks assigned, In the end he thinks more of the elephant than of himself, claiming that she must also have family he misses, so he asks the wizard to return her to her family, the spell worked in the midst of the assembled people and Peter is reunited with his sister.

   Mientras todo esto sucede, un mago intenta realizar trucos frente a una aburrida audiencia, pero por alguna razón, aunque su magia es real, no logra sorprender a nadie y por ende falla, pero cuando se concentra lo suficiente, logra invocar a una elefante que por desgracia cae sobre una mujer mayor, que se enoja muchísimo y lo envía a l cárcel. El rey y la condesa no saben que hacer con el animal, pero al ver la afinidad que había nacido entre Peter y la elefanta deciden designarlo como su cuidador, sin embargo, el rey le advierte a Peter que si quiere quedarse con ella deberá realizar tres dificilísimas tareas, pero a pesar de que Peter cree que necesita a la elefanta para llegar a su hermana (según la vidente) aunque al final de cuentas el chico logra cumplir todas las tareas asignadas, finalmente piensa más en la elefante que en sí mismo, alegando que ella también debe tener familia a la que extraña, por lo tanto le pide al mago que la regrese con su familia, el hechizo funcionó en medio de todo el pueblo reunido y Peter logra reencontrarse con su hermana.

   My Opinion/Mi Opinión

   Although I admit that the ending of the story can be a bit predictable, what I liked the most was the way everything was resolved, although magic was involved, the events depended a lot on the decisions made by the characters, Peter was not selfish and did not think about himself, although he wanted to find his sister with all his strength, he thought about the elephant because he felt empathy and identified with her pain, This led him to ask the wizard to return her to her place of origin, he no longer believed in his own magic due to his previous failures, but someone made him see that his "mistake" had somehow led him to bring the elephant which caused the conflict, which in turn led to Peter being assigned tasks and all this brought joy back to the city. Meanwhile, against all odds, we see that Peter's sister is alive and on her way to the city with her caretaker, attracted by the elephant. This leads me to think that this is real life, as strange as it may seem, many times the universe conspires in our favour without us realising it because our own negativity does not allow it, and that is where frustrations and disappointments arise that somehow truncate our lives, making us more hostile, more bitter and less hopeful.

   Aunque admito que el final de la historia puede resultar un poco predecible, lo que más me gustó fue la forma en que todo se resolvió, si bien la magia estuvo implicada, los acontecimientos dependieron mucho de las decisiones que tomaron los personajes, Peter no fue egoísta y no pensó en sí mismo, aunque quería con todas sus fuerzas encontrar a su hermana, él pensó en la elefanta porque sintió empatía y se identificó con su dolor, esto le llevó a pedirle al mago que la devolviera a su lugar de origen, él ya no creía en su propia magia debido a sus anteriores fracasos, pero alguien le hizo ver que su "error" de alguna manera lo había llevado a traer a la elefante que causó el conflicto, que a su vez provocó que a Peter le asignaran tareas y todo esto devolvió la alegría a la ciudad. Por su parte y contra todo pronóstico, logramos ver que la hermana de Peter está viva y rumbo a la ciudad junto con su cuidadora, atraída por la elefante. Esto me lleva a pensar que así es la vida real, por extraño que parezca, muchas veces el universo conspira a nuestro favor sin que nos demos cuenta porque nuestra propia negatividad no lo permite y es ahí donde surgen las frustraciones y decepciones que truncan de alguna forma nuestra vida, volviéndonos más hostiles, más amargados y con menos esperanza.

   The elephant is a means for Peter and his sister to reunite, but it was really their faith and hope that led them to realise their dream, there are people who think that when you are really determined to achieve something, you create enough energy around you to make all the necessary elements lean in your favour, you might even be healed of an illness, and this even has a scientific basis known as "Mesmerism" which is nothing more than the enormous power that our mind has to alter certain situations.

   La elefanta es un medio para que Peter y su hermana se reencuentren, pero realmente fue su fe y la esperanza lo que los llevó a realizar su sueño, hay personas que piensan que cuando estás realmente determinado a lograr algo, creas la energía suficiente a tu alrededor para lograr que todos los elementos necesarios se inclinen a tu favor, incluso podrías llegar a sanar de alguna enfermedad, y esto tiene incluso una base científica conocida como "Mesmerismo" que nos es otra cosa más que el enorme poder que tiene nuestra mente para alterar determinadas situaciones.

   Bad or traumatic events and old disappointments may lead us to think that we are not capable of achieving what we want, it makes us unhappy and grey like the people in this story, we live day by day without expecting anything, like the people in this story, until we realise that our life changes drastically and this may be due to our decisions, motivated in turn by a burst of self-belief.

   Los eventos malos o traumáticos y antiguas decepciones podrían llevarnos a pensar que no somos capaces de lograr lo que queramos, nos vuelve infelices y gris como el pueblo de esta historia, vivimos el día a día sin esperar nada, como la gente de esta historia, hasta que nos damos cuenta de que nuestra vida cambia drásticamente y esto se puede deber a nuestras decisiones, motivadas a su vez por un arrebato de fe en nosotros mismos.

   I don't think I have anything to complain about in this film because I loved everything about it, the story, the evolution of the characters, the unforgettable soundtrack and the wonderful cinematography that does justice to the story, with an empty shade of grey at the beginning to denote the sadness in which the city is plunged, and then with a display of colour to denote joy and splendour.

   Creo que no tengo nada de qué renegar en esta película ya que todo me encantó, tanto la historia, como la evolución de los personajes, el soundrack inolvidable y la maravillosa fotografía que le hace justicia a la historia, con un vacío tono de grises al inicio para denotar la tristeza en que está sumida la ciudad, y luego con un despliegue de color para denotar alegría y esplendor.

   While I loved the film in every way, now I feel that I can't stop reading the story on which it is based, I think it will be a very interesting and enriching experience.
