Wednesday walk And SBI giveaway Around Central Park

This post is also the results post for the collaboration of @elizacheng's Make me smile challenge and the Wednesday Walk Challenge

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Try to limit yourself to a set distance or time from the starting location, say 5 Blocks, 5 Minutes walk or whatever and see what you can find in that short distance

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all.

Following me and resteeming the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion, but you may have a better chance of receiving a Steem Basic Income Share if you do.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, resteem and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk, plus I will be sending @steembasicincomeshares to a selection of those who participate.

I have to make some changes to my Support of those who join Wednesday Walk

For a few reasons including how popular the Wednesday walk is getting, along with some new commitments I have on Steemit, I will from this week not be able to send tips to everyone who joins the walk, but will still be visiting all Wednesday Walk posts

This weeks Wednesday Walk around the Pond in Central Park

For this week's walk, I will share some shots of a walk around the Pond in Central Park, it is my favorite part of the park, Since this is a Wednesday Walk post I thought first I would share one of the pathways in the park

There are walks ways all around the park and on many of them, you can almost forget that you are in the big city, of course not so much from this view on the path with all the buildings in the background very noticeable especially with the trees being fairly bare.

One thing I love in this area is the old bridge which is called Gapstow Bridge, which the pathway in the first shot crosses and is hidden behind the fall colors in the tree in this next shot, I do love that bridge and will share shots of it in a post on its own, but for this post I will focus on walking around the pond.

As I have said probably far too many times my favorite walks are always by water that's another reason why I love this part of Central Park walking around the pond and of course getting some reflection shots such as in the next photo, which again shows a glimpse of the Gapstow bridge

It is especially lovely at this time of year with the blossoms coming out in the park and adding such lovely colors on display.

Steem Basic Income give away

I mentioned in the guidelines that from this week I will be sponsoring a few who join the #wednesdaywalk challenge with shares on Steem Basic Income

What is Steem Basic Income you may ask well here is how they explain it

Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content. so I have decided to send some Steem Basic Income shares to 5 people selected through a random draw so on the weekend all people who joined in last weeks Wednesday walk. @dswigle, @traciyork, @kamrunnahar, @tijntje, @joalvarez, all people who joined in last weeks Wednesday walk .
And a special bonus this week @elizacheng will send one SBI share to @adalger

I would love to be able to give everyone who joins a Steem Basic Income share, but I don't make enough steem each week to do so, but I will try and share them around fairly between those that join the challenge

I hope a few of you may find this an interesting challenge and decide to join in.

I was so sorry that I ran out of time to do a Wednesday walk this week, it's always fun to walk around and share some of the things that I see. It's a purely eclectic kind of post for me, which really fits my personality and how I like to post.

I absolutely love when you're going through the park and oh, it's true, it's hard to remember that the Big Apple was surrounding you. I like The View from the path with all the Towering buildings overlooking. It must have been early morning because the light shines on their faces just so perfectly.

I love that area where the old bridges , it makes for such a graceful shot, especially with the newly popped out leaves and you peeking through with your camera. I love just the barely-there reflections of the water and it's in Central Park looking so fine right about now?

I love this time of year in the city or anywhere for that matter but the park was especially a favorite place of mine, watching mother nature come to life once again. A very lovely ending to a beautiful story! Thank you so much for taking this your Wednesday walk and I apologize again for not being able to join the challenge this week.

Amazing place! It's like an oasis surrounded by skyscrapers. It seems that a little more and these giants will completely absorb it. You are very well able to pass this spring the transparency. When there is still very little density in the crowns of trees. Beautiful spring color shades in Central Park. Here you can walk for a long time :) , I am sure that there are many topics for the inspiration of the photographer.

dang it, your photos are very amazing, it made me goosebumps by watching it and I want to experience walking there. You mentioned that you love that bridge and near in the river. How can we not if that place is so lovely. The sensation of the place, the colors of the leaves and flowers are blooming are so beautiful. I wonder where do you live, your place is nice.

What a nice weather after the rains! Buildings create contrast by the color and light, look awesome. Once again cannot pick up my favorite, but probably it is still the one with reflection of fallen tree branch.
