Of you pluck the flowers off, it helps the plants to concentrate on making tatties πŸ’ͺπŸ₯°πŸ€— Old tyres are the best for potato growing, dear @theworldaroundme 🌞⭐😍 You can add a new tyre every time the plants reach up high enough to be re-earthed. πŸ’

I love tattie growing!! We still don't have a proper patch for them - yet! -but it'snot far off: compost heaps are my favourite spot for lovely tubers... We've prioritised topinambur this year, which are a wild (jerusalem) artichoke that grows abundantly in these parts - in ditches and damp corners - we have a big natural patch that we're keeping clear and hoping for a nice crop from πŸ₯³πŸ˜‡

Can't wait to see what you make from your lovely taters - they look like a very nice variety πŸ₯°

Aww, thank you my lovely @clareartista. I shall be picking those little cute flowers then. I actually have two big tyres that I didn’t know what to use for, so I will be trying growing tatties in them next time. Thanks for the idea.

Wild Jerusalem artichokes were sold here before and was pretty pricey, so you could plant them in bulk and sell them if you wanted. This variety I have here is Rooster, yes they are tasty and I always get them, so if I could plant enough for the whole year, I will not be buying anymore and especially now that I know how to store them. Lol.

I will definitely update you on how these improvised methods go, hoping for lots of tatties! I can’t wait to see them rolling out of their bags. (I hope and let see.) Haha! 😍πŸ₯”πŸ’œ
