I don't think I could be better if I tried, was my answer a couple days ago when I was asked by one of my clients about how I was going. He laughed, impressed I was able to say so in light of the situations we were dealing with, and said it seemed a pretty good way to be. I agree.
Of course, we can always be better I think, and my answer was diversionary and intended to mask the truth that, in actual fact, I was not all that good at all. He didn't need to hear about that though and there was nothing to gain by telling a client I wasn't quite feeling the best. Besides, he probably didn't truly care.
So, I haven't been all that great in the last week but stumbled forward to the weekend without dying (or killing anyone else) and I'm going to call that an achievement.
I haven't got a whole lot planned this weekend other than washing and detailing my truck (which takes care of at least four hours of it) and I have a few errands to run today; there's an F1 Grand Prix on this weekend as well so I'll watch that of course. I don't mind that it's going to be a quiet weekend though, my week was the antithesis of quiet and due to some issues I struggled through I welcome an uncomplicated and passive weekend of rest, recharging and the chance not to have to think too much. (My little peanut brain can only handle so much thinking after all.)
