People who identify as readers always enjoy books like Americanah because nothing is as satisfying as immersing one's self into stories with excellent plots, character development and a satisfying end that may not always be our wish.
Something I enjoyed from this book is the use of unique Igbo names. I think it's one of Chimamanda'a strengths and I love seeing more of it when I read her books.
I had wanted to say Ifemelu is not the loveable character people romanticize at every point, but your writing does say something: to see her just as human with failings and that made me pause. There's so many lessons from this book for anyone who cares to read.
I would read your reviews again and again as well. Have a lovely day.
