Jediné jméno, které v posledních třech dnech "straší" půlku Evropy. Ženská jména dali orkánům poprvé němečtí meteorologové ve čtyřicátých letech minulého století. Snad tím chtěli naznačit nevyzpytatelnost tohoto živlu :-).
The only name that 'haunts' half of Europe in the last three days. German hydrometeorologists first gave female names to the hurricanes in the 1940s. Perhaps this was to indicate the deviousness of this element :-).
In Ceske Budejovice, the name of this name was a beautiful rainbow. According to @krakonos, she did so in Prague. Other speeches were no longer so likeable. The strong wind threw up the trees and carried away anything that wasn't firmly attached.
But I was lucky on my journey today. No airborne object hit me. Some were not lucky. Not far from Prachatice, a tree fell on a passing passenger car. On the way to Vimperk, the wind sent one car into a ditch.
On the afternoon walk with the dogs I was also lucky. Sabine calmed down and just rippled the surface of the neighboring pond. Maybe it is gaining strength for another attack.
V Českých Budějovicích se vychřice tohoto jména uvedla krásnou duhou. Podle hlášení @krakonos -e tak učinila i v Praze. Ostatní projevy už tak sympatické nebyly. Silný vítr vyvracel stromy a odnášel vše, co nebylo pevně přichyceno.
Na mé dnešní cestě jsem však měl štěstí. Žádný vzduchem létající předmět mne nezasáhl. Někteří to štěstí neměli. Nedaleko Prachatic spadl strom na právě projíždějící osobní automobil. Na cestě do Vimperku poslal vichr jedno auto do příkopu.
Na odpolední procházce se psy jsem měl také štěstí. Sabine se uklidnila a jen lehce čeřila hladinu sousedního rybníka. Možná nabírá sílu k dalšímu ataku.
