Muchas personas están desaparecidas y permanecerán así por no ser reconocidas debido a su descomposición, otras por no ser ubicadas entre los escombros y habrá otras tantas cuyo infortunio las haga víctimas de un cambio de vida forzado, como el de una adopción familiar, o la adopción de una nueva identidad.

Lo ocurrido con el terremoto del 24 de junio en La Guaira, Venezuela, es la perturbadora mezcla perfecta para que se susciten cosas que ya ocurrieron en el pasado, en ese mismo estado, el cual tenía el nombre de Vargas, durante diciembre de 1999.

Solo una semana antes, había hecho mi propio recorrido por Los Corales y Carmen de Uria, y era notorio que 27 años después de primera tragedia, todavía quedaban escombros y casas tapeadas por los deslaves y tanto que no se terminó de arreglar.

¿Qué hacía yo allí? Estaba buscando zonas para grabar un documental de cómo se vivía en ese lugar luego de casi tres décadas. El de Carmen de Uria sí lo pude grabar y está disponible en YouTube y el de Los Corales tenía previsto grabarlo justo el 24 de junio porque era feriado. Al final no bajé, porque justamente editando el de Carmen de Uria tarde cinco días editándolo.

Haciendo la investigación correspondiente para la elaboración de estos clips, además de todo lo que sé por periodista y curiosos, recordé que jamás concordaron las cifras oficiales entre los fallecidos, los desaparecidos y las casas afectadas por los tres días de lluvia que sepultaron al pueblo guaireño.

Por ejemplo, el gobierno dijo que perecieron alrededor de mil personas, que fueron las que pudieron ser identificadas en las morgue, mientras que la Cruz Roja Internacional (todavía no controlada por el chavismo) indicó que la cantidad oscilaba entre 10 mil y 50 mil fallecidos... ¡Es una diferencia estrambótica y abismal! ¡Y sí, también hubo muchos niños que se perdieron luego de ser declarados como sobrevivientes! Aunque de eso hablaremos luego.

En mi exploración por esas dos zonas residenciales vi que los fantasmas de 1999 seguían de pie. Edificios y casas que desde aquella época a la presente fecha permanecían invadidas. Puede llegar a ser desorbitante comprender la lucha legal, ilegal, o metafísica para que tantas propiedades privadas quedaran a la merced de quienes no eran sus dueños.

Una cosa es leer sobre ello y otra muy diferente es "pasear" por las calles de estas zonas que debieron ser desalojadas por los peligros de sus tierras y su ubicación frente a nuevos deslaves, pero en donde sus residentes vivían con total "normalidad".

Los Corales llegó a ser una zona elitezca y en mi tour por aquel pedacito de tierra guaireña me di cuenta que una parte de esa historia se perdió, bien sea por cansancio, como por injusticia y también por olvido. Vi mansiones ocupadas por personas que se adueñaron del sitio, pasé por al frente de la casa del humorista Jorge Tuero (quien falleció por no abandonar su hogar en dicha tragedia) y estuve al frente de edificios de los que yo mismo vaticinaba un mal augurio porque no se veían repuestos de lo sucedido en 1999.

Supe también que habían estudios sismológicos de diferentes datas, unos de la época del presidente venezolano Marcos Pérez Jimenes y unos que le entregó el gobierno de Japón al mandatario Hugo Chávez Frías, en los cuales se decía básicamente que en el suelo de La Guaira no se debía construir y que por la ubicación de las vertientes del cerro Ávila, cualquier tormenta podría terminar de sepultar a ese tramo de la costa.

Es así que después de cada evento catastrófico hubo gente que no fue encontrada y hablo de la vaguada del 99 y es que todavía hay familias que las sigue buscando tras décadas del suceso.

Se sabe que hubo delincuentes que aprovecharon aquel torbellino para fabricarse una nueva identidad y que hubo una lista de niños que fueron vendidos a nuevas familias para hacerse con una paternidad y maternidad nueva.

Me temo que a pesar de la proliferación de teléfonos para registrar todo lo que sucedió y sigue ocurriendo en Venezuela desde junio de este año con los dos temblores, el resultado será el mismo. Hay cosas que parecen haber cambiado, pero que legitiman al todavía gobierno de la revolución bolivariana, solo que esta vez la Cruz Rojas es roja rojita y los Estados Unidos tiene un plan que no podemos dimensionar.

Sé que quizás estarás pensando que la llegada del presidente de los Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, pueda aligerar el pesar del terremoto, pero lo cierto es que todo sigue el mismo curso, porque a pesar de toda la tecnología y la injerencia Yankee, las cifras no cuadran entre la cantidad de fallecidos, desaparecidos y edificaciones colapsadas o comprometidas solo en La Guaira.

Adicional a ello, la cantidad de niños que quedaron sin resguardo familiar es asombrosa. En redes, se habla de cientos de casos, pero a la fecha, no hay ningún dato oficial de la sumatoria. También se habla de una página web que los vendía usando como disfraz la comercialización online de juguetes, por ahora no comprobable, pero lo que sí sé es que, para desgracia nuestra, existen formas de llevar a cabo este comercio infantil.

En este sentido, justo tenía previsto escribir la historia de una niña que vendieron durante la tragedia de 1999. Los detalles del caso son cuanto menos escalofriantes e increíbles, con giros de la trama que parecen sacadas de Hollywood. También haré pronto un video sobre ello.

Tengo meses trabajando con crónicas de lugares asombrosos de La Guaira, por ello, me he rodeado de data que no es fácil de conseguir en la web, porque adicionalmente a que el régimen de Venezuela ha sacado de circulación a muchos medios digitales y solo puedes acceder con VPN, existen noticias e investigaciones que fueron literalmente borradas, o eliminadas, por esos mismo portales, lo cual es bastante sospechoso.

Por los videos de drone de la actual y destruida La Guaira, y tomando en cuenta lo que pudo hacerse con la reconstrucción del pueblo desde 1999, no puedo ser optimista. Demasiados lugares van a seguir indebidamente habitados, la lista de desaparecidos quedará en vigor por mucho tiempo y las nuevas construcciones van a perecer una solución para quienes perdieron una casa, pero si esa reubicación la hace dentro de La Guaira, solo están comprando tiempo y "buena política".

Lamentablemente, por mucho que me cueste admitirlo, o imaginarlo, ese estado básicamente debe mudarse en su totalidad para no correr más peligro. No tengo la respuesta de cómo o cuando o para dónde, porque sé que los afectados querrá irse a Caracas, pero de la gran capital de Venezuela, hablaremos en otra oportunidad, porque allí también hay un futuro desesperanzador, si no ejecutan la debidas correcciones.

Me quedan muchas cosas por decir, datos que no puedo, ni debo revelar por cuestiones de seguridad y que tienen que ver con oro, drogas y contratos millonarios de constructoras fraudulentas. Lo bueno es que algunos de esos casos comienzan a ser evidentes, no dejando de ser más preocupante cómo la sucia política se aprovecha de todo este dolor para instaurar su ajedrez con el desespero y necesidad de un pueblo que ha llorado demasiado en sus últimos 30 años

Si aún puedes leer esto eres afortunado, no porque sea un buen escrito, sino porque eso quiere decir que todavía respiras y tienes al menos un ojo abierto, mientras en otros lares, aún se buscan estos desaparecidos (Vargas y La Guaira).

Many people are missing and will remain so because they are not recognized due to decomposition, others because they cannot be located among the rubble, and there will be many others whose misfortune makes them victims of a forced life change, such as family adoption, or the adoption of a new identity.

What happened with the earthquake of June 24 in La Guaira, Venezuela, is the disturbing perfect mix for things to occur that already happened in the past, in that same state, which was called Vargas, during December 1999.

Just one week before, I had made my own tour through Los Corales and Carmen de Uria, and it was noticeable that 27 years after the first tragedy, there were still rubble and houses covered by landslides and so much that was never finished being repaired.

What was I doing there? I was looking for areas to record a documentary about how life was in that place after almost three decades. The one from Carmen de Uria I was able to record and it's available on YouTube, and the one from Los Corales I planned to record precisely on June 24 because it was a holiday. In the end, I didn't go down, because precisely editing the one from Carmen de Uria took me five days editing it.

Doing the corresponding research for the elaboration of these clips, in addition to everything I know as a journalist and curious person, I remembered that the official figures never matched between the deceased, the missing, and the houses affected by the three days of rain that buried the Guaireño town.

For example, the government said that around a thousand people perished, which were those who could be identified in the morgues, while the International Red Cross (not yet controlled by Chavismo) indicated that the quantity oscillated between 10 thousand and 50 thousand deceased... It's a bizarre and abysmal difference! And yes, there were also many children who got lost after being declared survivors! Although we'll talk about that later.

In my exploration of those two residential areas I saw that the ghosts of 1999 were still standing. Buildings and houses that from that time to the present date remained invaded. It can be overwhelming to understand the legal, illegal, or metaphysical struggle for so many private properties to be left at the mercy of those who were not their owners.

One thing is to read about it and another very different thing is to "walk" through the streets of these areas that should have been evacuated due to the dangers of their lands and their location facing new landslides, but where their residents lived with total "normality".

Los Corales came to be an elite zone and in my tour through that little piece of Guaireño land I realized that a part of that history was lost, whether due to exhaustion, injustice, or also forgetfulness. I saw mansions occupied by people who took possession of the site, I passed in front of the house of the comedian Jorge Tuero (who died for not abandoning his home in said tragedy) and I was in front of buildings for which I myself predicted a bad omen because they didn't look recovered from what happened in 1999.

I also learned that there were seismological studies from different dates, some from the time of Venezuelan president Marcos Pérez Jiménez and some that the government of Japan gave to president Hugo Chávez Frías, in which it was basically said that nothing should be built on the soil of La Guaira and that due to the location of the slopes of the Ávila mountain, any storm could end up burying that stretch of coast.

Thus, after each catastrophic event there were people who were not found and I'm talking about the trough of '99 and there are still families who continue to search for them decades after the event.

It is known that there were criminals who took advantage of that whirlwind to fabricate a new identity for themselves and that there was a list of children who were sold to new families to obtain a new fatherhood and motherhood.

I fear that despite the proliferation of telephones to record everything that happened and continues to happen in Venezuela since June of this year with the two tremors, the result will be the same. There are things that seem to have changed, but that legitimize the still existing government of the Bolivarian revolution, only this time the Red Cross is very red and the United States has a plan that we cannot dimension.

I know that perhaps you may be thinking that the arrival of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, may alleviate the sorrow of the earthquake, but the truth is that everything continues the same course, because despite all the technology and Yankee interference, the figures don't match between the number of deceased, missing, and collapsed or compromised buildings only in La Guaira.

Additionally, the number of children who were left without family protection is amazing. On social networks, hundreds of cases are mentioned, but to date, there is no official data on the sum. There is also talk of a website that sold them using the online marketing of toys as a disguise, for now unprovable, but what I do know is that, unfortunately for us, there are ways to carry out this child trade.

In this sense, I precisely planned to write the story of a girl who was sold during the 1999 tragedy. The details of the case are at the very least chilling and incredible, with plot twists that seem taken from Hollywood. I will also soon make a video about it.

I have been working for months with chronicles of amazing places in La Guaira, for that reason, I have surrounded myself with data that is not easy to find on the web, because in addition to the fact that the Venezuelan regime has taken many digital media out of circulation and you can only access them with VPN, there are news and investigations that were literally erased, or deleted, by those same portals, which is quite suspicious.

From the drone videos of the current and destroyed La Guaira, and taking into account what could be done with the reconstruction of the town since 1999, I cannot be optimistic. Too many places will continue to be improperly inhabited, the list of missing persons will remain in effect for a long time, and the new constructions are going to perish a solution for those who lost a house, but if that relocation is done within La Guaira, they are only buying time and "good politics".

Unfortunately, as much as it costs me to admit it, or imagine it, that state basically must move in its entirety to not run more danger. I don't have the answer to how or when or to where, because I know that those affected will want to go to Caracas, but about the great capital of Venezuela, we will talk on another occasion, because there is also a hopeless future there, if they don't execute the due corrections.

I have many things left to say, data that I cannot, nor should I reveal for security reasons and that have to do with gold, drugs, and million-dollar contracts from fraudulent construction companies. The good thing is that some of those cases are beginning to be evident, not ceasing to be more worrying how dirty politics takes advantage of all this pain to establish its chess with the despair and need of a people that has cried too much in its last 30 years.

If you can still read this you are fortunate, not because it is a good writing, but because that means that you are still breathing and have at least one eye open, while in other places, these missing people are still being searched for (Vargas and La Guaira).
