- Longing
I'm going to go with longing, simply because you buy the stock and wait to trade it at a higher price. The trick might be hitting the highest highs, but there's certainly less to do.
With shorting, you have to somehow borrow a stock, buy it at a lower price, and then sell it back to the owner. Sounds like more work, and you'd have to pick and choose your stock more carefully, since you'd be wanting a bigger return in a shorter period of time, too.

I made some trades in the past, but nowadays I don't trade. But it is both easy, if you are trading with play money for practicing or just for fun.
