NextColony.io - Ingame Sneak Preview of a BETA-Tester

Not for long, and the game begins. NextColony.io is currently in the final stages of development and will go live at 20:00 UTC on 21 April. Since I was invited as a beta tester to the 6-person team, I would like to give you a short and rough overview of what happens in the game. In the 9 minutes long video I show you some of the features and functions in the game and show you what the front-end looks like so far.

As mentioned in the video, an auction is currently taking place to buy one of the legendary planets. If you would like to bid, you can do so at https://nextcolony.io/ . The bids are really going up at the moment and nobody wants to be underbid.

    WOW another Boring game that totally Ignores our FULLY available Steem 3d and VR system @dlux-io by @disregardfiat and @markegiles

    way to just ignore existing steem talent and refuse to dream of building something actually INTERESTING with a 3d VISUAL element beyond a 1990s style Multi User Dungeon .....

    look at that terribly boring interface! wow! That looks SO not fun to stare at a screen full of numbers, with a few pictures of some planets!

    wow another boring game Just like Drugwars where you Pay to win, and the game dynamics change over time to make it less fun and more profitable for the developers!

    Oh whats that?You dont PLAN on irrationality maximizing profits for yourselves eventually and springing changes on us like drugwars and steem monsters did? OOh ok... can we get that in writing? Didnt think so....

    so you want us to buy some of your "Tokens" too right?

    WOW , this REALLY deserved to be the "In game footage sneak peak" alright... you sure couldnt have worked ANY harder AT ALL or hired actual graphic designers to make a VISUAL element to the boring blockchain statistics....

    Drugwars in space..... great... not a single real world element , no taking advantage of the social media aspect of steem, no space based LARPING, great, whats the point of even playing? if its just drugwars in space?

    Sieht echt interessant aus. Gibt es auch Einblicke über den Planeten? Also sowas wie die Oberfläche, wie das aussieht dort usw? Oder wird es eher nüchtern (nicht negativ gemeint) eine Wirtschaftssimulation werden die mehr von Statistiken lebt?

    Ich finde es genial, ein Spiel entstehen zu sehen, was nicht von einem großen Publisher auf den Markt geworfen wird.

    The game looks amazing so far! Thanks a lot for this preview. Questions (to you or @oliverschmid):

    • Do you have to find other player by exploration?
    • Will alliances share their explored territory?
    • How do you settle on a new planet? With transporters?
    • Are there any benefits of sending out more than 1 explorer to a target area? I saw that you were losing explorers on missions, maybe this can be prevented by sending larger fleets?
    • Are there limits in place on how many resources one can buy in the shop? Otherwise it will be 100% pay to win.

    Das Spiel sieht wirklich cool aus und weckt mein Interesse! Kann man dieses dann nur spielen, wenn man so einen Planeten ersteigert hat? Oder was für eine Rolle werden diese legendären Planeten später spielen? 😊

    Ohh super cool! Ein erster Einblick. 😄

    Bei den Schiffen, stand dabei das sie eine Abwehr haben. Das bedeutet irgendwann könnten dann Schiffe angegriffen werden?

    Und soweit ich es verstanden habe, startet man nach der Registrierung mit einem Planeten den man quasi besiedeln/aufbauen muss. 😄
