Penderel's Oak Wetherspoon's Pub Location

A gentle reminder of the Hive Meet Up in Central London this Saturday, 17th October, 2026.

We'll start in Penderel's Oak, a Wetherspoons on High Holborn, a short walk from Holborn Underground Station. It has some cosy little book lined nooks, other tables if we want to spread out a bit more and an outside area if we get warm temperatures and brilliant sunshine.

I'll be there at 12.00pm (noon).

I don't think I've got any Hive insignia but I'll have my knitting, a hardback notebook and probably a haul of new books from the Waterstone's down the road.

I thought easiest to meet and get some lunch at Wetherspoon's. Then we can go over to the venue in Red Lion Street (just across the road). I've asked for tea and coffee and biscuits to be available, and feel free to bring something to share - fresh fruit, cookies, little snackettes. There's a Waitrose on the route between Holborn station and the Pub/venue, so you can pick up something on the way.

Pretty exciting, really! Seems like, a great meet-up planned! Interesting. Believe, you all will have a wonderful time, with the 'Hive community' in London on, Saturday. Wish, I too could join, will have to drive down 134 miles, via M40, so, probably some other time.
