I have been thinking about this topic for a #podcast for a while now....

No AI, No Drama, No Hype

I see people who are totally against 'AI' and refuse to use it. Others use it all the time for everything. I tend to be pragmatic about technology and I will consider what is useful to me. I am not generally using it for Hive as I prefer to craft my posts myself with real images. I get that others will spend hours crafting their prompts to get the image they want, but that is not how I work. What I want to see on Hive is the human aspect.
At work I am still doing development the old way and AI has not really taken off in the company. I know some will say that puts us at a disadvantage, but I've just not got into it. I'm not that far from retirement so I wonder if I need to. I may play with it when I have time as I see lots of people here doing cool stuff.
It's intruding into music creation too. You can get an app to create a whole song from a prompt, but I am into the craft of music.
I think that things are moving so fast that you can feel left behind, but it may not be essential to adopt these new tools for all aspects of life. We should still be learning and using skills.
I'm glad to hear you are easing back into the entrepreneurial space.
AI is a tool and nothing more. There a whole lot of hype out there. Plenty of snake oil. And of course, some impressive and helpful use cases. There is no reason to use it if it doesn't set well with you.
I think there is a real desire for non-AI experiences and work relationships.
The fatigue I and many others feel is when perfect great tools insert AI into every nook and cranny just so they can tout, "We have AI!" and while some of those tools are helpful, many times cramming AI into everything negatively disrupts what was a perfectly wonderful tool. Then those same companies increase their pricing in not a small way. Why? Because AI is expensive. Yet, they didn't ask their users/clients if we wanted AI stuffed into everything. We didn't.
As for what can you do to provide value to potential clients? Take a look at your past greatest hits. Begin listening to what questions get asked that you rattle off the answers to without a second thought. Pay attention to what is peaking your curiosity. What has you leaning all in? The answer lies somewhere in the mix.
I'm a big fan of open experimentation. Try out something and take us on the journey with you. In my case, National Podcast Post Month was a total experiment in 2007. This November will be year 19. I would not have predicted this crazy idea would still be going strong all these years later. Life's funny that way.
I do think AI makes task and work more easier for some people and there are also people that are doubtful about it
AI can be a great tool, but it shouldn't become something we feel we have to use for everything. Many people see it as master, but it can mistake.
I don't think avoiding AI is a bad things, but I honestly think there are plenty of people sick of AI as well. Social media is all about trying to incite engagement. However, I do think that religion will end up being more controversial as people are dragging people in based on it. Especially if your on social media and constantly talking about it.
